Trade-in and Recycling Program

Ready to upgrade your espresso machine to a newer model with more features, but not sure what to do with your old one? Instead of trying to sell it on Craig's List or dumping it in a landfill, check out our Trade-in and Recycling Program!

Trade In: Depending on the age, brand and condition of your old machine, we may be able to take it as a trade on a new one. We'll thoroughly assess the machine, provide you with a store credit towards your new machine and then clean it up to find a new home for it. This is a great option because it offsets your new machine's purchase price and keeps your old machine out of the trash, ultimately extending its life.
Recycle It: If your machine has seen better days and is not worth repairing, we offer a recycling service for older espresso machines and grinders. Our priority is to ensure that as little as possible of your original machine ends up in the landfill. We'll disassemble the machine, separate it into recyclable (aluminum, steel, stainless steel, brass, copper and some plastics) and non-recyclable components.

Complete the Trade-in Evaluation Form and we'll promptly provide you with a rough estimate of the value of your espresso machine or grinder. Please remember that this estimate is based only on the information that you provide, so may be subject to change once we have been able to physically assess the machine in our repair center.

Let's Get Physical
If you elect to move forward with the trade-in, we'll send you a Trade-in/Recycle Agreement that outlines the programs details and provides instructions on how to ship your machine to our repair center (if applicable). You'll need to review and sign this document, then include it with your shipment or bring it with you when you drop your machine off to our Lynnwood, WA, facility. Once we receive the machine, we'll perform a thorough assessment and promptly provide you with the final trade-in value.

Money Changes Everything
After a final assessment is determined, we'll issue a Seattle Coffee Gear store credit for you to apply to your new machine's purchase. However, if you elected to move forward with your purchase before the assessment was complete, we will issue a refund for the assessment amount to the original payment method.
