This upgraded version of the Maestro is the perfect combination of the Maestro and the older version of the Plus at an even more affordable price. With all the same functionality of the original Maestro Plus, the only thing that has changed to lower the price is some aesthetics as Baratza has removed the stainless steel base.

- Super Affordable - With an entry-level price point but features more suited for higher-end grinders, this is a great option for budding coffee enthusiasts looking to start their grinding in earnest
- Auto or Manual - Unlike other grinders, you can choose the automatic grind options, or you can choose to painstakingly on/off the grind process to get the perfect consistency

Cons
- Can Be Messy - Some customers have indicated that the excess grinds always find their countertops and the exterior of this unit, no matter how careful they are
- Feed Issues - The Maestro Plus should just feed beans through the burr grinder without help, but that doesn't seem to be a consistent function. You may need to exhibit a bit of patience with this grinder and not expect a professional-level feeding system from a decidedly amateur-level grinder

- Clean burrs on a weekly to bi-weekly basis, either with a cleaning brush or a burr grinder-specific cleaning product, such as Grindz.
