- Small Water Reservoir - The tank is narrow and tiny and can result in water spills if you're not careful
- Carafe Lid Durability - The carafe's lid is considered by some to be flimsy plastic and has broken or degraded over time. Since the machine will not work unless the lid triggers the brew feature, the lid requires replacement which unfortunately means purchasing a whole new carafe (at ~$20)
- Filter Basket Lock - The latch that locks the basket closed can easily break, requiring tape or rubber band to keep it closed

How it Works
The Caffe Elite has an automatic timer that you can set to begin brewing at a later time -- great for folks who want to wake up to the aroma of freshly brewing coffee. You can also use the Brew Selector to vary the length and type of brew according to your coffee's grind and your individual taste preferences. Keep in mind that the Brew Selector can slow down the brewing time, so if you need to keep it quick, don't choose a long saturation time.
