Bought 2.5 years ago from Seattle Coffee Gear because of their extra year of warranty and a Starbuck's barista told me he had the same machine and loved it. Machine is used throughout the day because we work from home. PRO: Espresso tastes great, brews consistently and hot, milk froths easily, doesn't take up too much space, and easy to use and keep clean. It's easy to load w/beans and water and holds a good amount of each. Separate feature to load ground coffee is good for decaf guests. Easy to fill w/water and clean inside because access is at front and machine doesn't need to be moved - good features because weekly cleaning and regular descaling is recommended, which I do. CON: If you want a quiet machine, it's not that quiet. I have the model w/the "quieter" grinder and I can hear it grind beans and pump espresso. However, I listened to other models in the Seattle Coffee Gear store and didn't think it was louder than other machines in the same price range.

Goodbye Starbucks Forever! |

I've been using it for 5 months now and have no complaints. Ridiculously easy to use with practically no clean-up. The water reservoir is lightweight, easy to fill and pops right in and out of the machine on the right-hand side. Disposing of the used coffee 'pucks' is also easy, just open the front door, pull out the tray and dispose of them. You can use coffee beans or if someone gives you ground coffee as a gift, there is a space on top of the machine where you can put in already ground coffee. The steam wand is easy to remove and clean, just pull off, rinse and put back on. The powerful steamer steams milk in about 20 seconds - I even get a full head of foam with non-fat rice or soy milk! Makes a fast cup of espresso, and coffee comes out HOT (I've seen complaints from other machines that the coffee is tepid, or just not hot enough). Friends who never drank coffee come over now for my soy-vanilla-lattes. Improve your social life, buy this machine! You'll love it as much as I do!

...the delonghi product delivers a good value. Delonghi does need to improve on it's durability as this is my second delonghi in three years. If it breaks again I would have been better off spending $2000 on a top line super automatic.

I bought this machine a week ago and have had 2 lattes a day and our morning coffee. So simple to use. I even called customer service once and they are very helpful. I got the Sugar-Free Vanilla syrup and have super lattes. Simple to clean and simple to use. Learned and made "Starbucks" quality Latte first time. We are very happy with it. Katie
