ago and has been refined and improved through the years. This new
version from Gaggia come in Black at a great new low price.
With Gaggia's expertise, the New Baby arrives to us with a great set of commercial-quality components, such as a brass portafilter and brew group and three-way solenoid valve. Simply controlled with three command buttons and a steam knob, there is no confusion involved in operating the New Baby. Paired with a quality burr grinder, the New Baby is an excellent choice for those looking to make a long-term investment in home espresso.

Pros
- Commercial-grade portafilter
- Has Gaggia's tried-and-true boiler and heavy chrome plated brass
commercial-grade portafilter. Although the Baby doesn't get as hot as
it should for an ideal shot of espresso, it does pull a good shot of
espresso, outperforming most other home espresso machines in this
price range
- Clean modern design - The New Baby has a nice updated design with an easy to remove water tank
- Price - You can't beat the price, especially considering the three-way solenoid valve

Cons
- No traditional steam wand -
The New Baby has a Panarello which makes steaming easy to creat soft fluffy
foam but does not have an option for a standard steamer like the
Rancilio Silvia which makes it difficult to get a good microfoam
- Has Aluminum Boiler - Many other manufacturers have upgraded to stainless steel or nickle plated brass for boiler materials

How it Works
The grind, tamp pressure and extraction time all play vital roles in extracting great espresso from this semi-automatic machine.

Care
For detailed care instructions, please refer to your machine's user
manual. We recommend that you also incorporate the following into your
cleaning routine:
- Descale every 2 - 3 months. We recommend using Dezcal.
- Soap out water tank and drip tray every few days
- Rinse portafilter and baskets after each use.
- Brush brew head gasket area weekly to remove any coffee build-up

| - Commercial-Style Portafilter - When
you want to brew quality espresso, you want to use the best style of
portafilter you can. That’s why the New Baby was designed with
a commercial-style portafilter, measuring 58mm and made of
chrome-plated brass. Brass offers temperature stability for your
espresso, a vital factor in the taste of your final shot. This style of
tamper requires a nice, firm tamp for ground espresso, but can also be
used with ESE pods for added convenience.
- Three-way Solenoid Valve - No
one likes trying to get rid of soupy espresso grounds after they’ve
brewed their morning shot. That’s why the Gaggia New Baby features a
three-way solenoid valve that relieves pressure from the portafilter
once your shot has been brewed. This results in a drier espresso puck
and easier disposal.
- Commercial Brew Group - With
a heavy duty, professional quality portafilter, you need a
commercial-style brew group to match. The brew group on the Color
is also made of chrome-plated brass for added temperature stability.
Plus, its brass construction ensures it can stand the test of time.
- Simple Controls - Durable ABS plastic was used on the housing for this model, making it a cinch to shine up! The control panel is straightforward and intuitive.
- Cup Warmer - Espresso

- Hot Water Dispenser - If

make brewing easy, the New Baby is ready to brew using ESE pods.
These pre-packaged, pre-measured, and pre-tamped pods eliminate the need
