With the Pannarello frothing attachment, foaming and steaming milk is easy even for a beginner, while the Espresso Plus system gives you complete control over the intensity of your beverage, even while it’s brewing. Using the LCD screen, you can program the active cup warmer, language, aroma strength, temperature, pre-infusion, coffee dosage (Opti-Dose system), clock settings, and more. For those who crave choice in everything, the bypass doser for pre-ground coffee means you can offer decaf or regular beverages. Thanks to the stainless steel front panel and ABS plastic housing, the Gaggia Platinum Swing is easy to keep looking clean and new.

Milk Island - This handy frothing attachment stands up well against manual frothing and is relatively easy to clean.
Turnstyle controls - The LCD display reads easily and allows for fine-tuned control of volume, water filter and hardness settings and many more.

Cons

Turnstyle controls - The iPod-styled interface on this model may not be for everyone.
Oil-Free- Like most superautomatics, the grinder is not oily bean friendly. Try a medium espresso roast for optimum results.

How it Works
Program each beverage to your preferences and press the brew button to brew. Your settings will be recorded for your next drink.

Care
For detailed care instructions, please refer to your machine's user manual. We recommend that you also incorporate the following into your cleaning routine:

Descale every 2 - 3 months. We recommend using Dezcal.
Soap out water tank and drip tray every few days
Remove the brew group and spray it down with hot water (no soap!) about once per week

Espresso Plus System - Regulate the intensity of your coffee with the simple turn of a dial. An exclusive system allows the user to adjust the body and the intensity of any coffee blend from mild to more intense, depending on the individuals preferences, all while maintaining a perfect crema.

Milk Island - The Milk Island is Gaggias latest answer to milk frothing. It is clean, consistent and easy to use. The Milk Island is an optional unit that is connected to the coffee machine and becomes part of the steam system. Just pour the milk in the jug, turn the steam knob and the machine does the rest. The result: creamy frothed and steamed milk, perfect for a traditional cafe style cappuccino. The Milk Island can be cleaned easily and has a total capacity of .4 liters (included).

Revolving Frothing Wand - The exclusive revolving frother is always ready to deliver hot water or steam for a menu of drinks such as lattes, cappuccinos, americanos, and more. Mounted on a ball joint, it accommodates any size pitcher and is easy to maneuver.

Ceramic Coffee Grinder - The ceramic burr coffee grinder assures quiet functioning, high performance and a consistent grind each time. This grinder not only enhances the functions of the machine, but its ceramic construction ensures longevity and flavorful beverages.

Aqua Prima Filter - The Aqua Prima water filter was developed to remove impurities from your water. The result is fresh, clean tasting coffee every time. The Aqua Prima water filter also reduces the formation of lime scale in the machine, protecting your boiler and brewing components.

Removable Water Reservoir - The 80 oz water reservoir slides out easily from the side of the machine. Made of durable plastic, it can be hand washed for the freshest-tasting coffee. The Gaggia Platinum machines will alert you when the water tank needs to be refilled.

Removable Brewing Unit - The brew group is removable for easy maintenance -- just rinse it under running water to clean out any coffee oils and residue. Made of sturdy black plastic, it locks back into place for consistent brewing. Your Gaggia Platinum machine also includes brew group lubricant.

Cup Warmer - Brewing espresso into a warm cup helps preserve the thick layer of golden crema on top of each shot. Use the cup warmer located on top of the machine to display and pre-heat cups before brewing.
