Description

The IMPRESSA C9 One Touch is the most compact One Touch Automatic Coffee Center today. With the ultimate in user-friendly technology, the Jura-Capresso IMPRESSA C9 One Touch creates a cappuccino, cafe mocha or latte at the touch of one button, without moving the cup. In just seconds it grinds, tamps and brews the best in high-pressure-brewed crema coffee or espresso, and can also dispense hot water for Cafe Americano or tea.

Fully programmable for all coffee, frothing and hot water functions, the C9 One Touch lets you set temperature, volume and strength for each button. Make one or two cups at a time, from one to a full 16 ounces. Professional-quality features ensures brewed perfection time and again, including a commercial-grade conical burr grinder, automatic cleaning cycles, bright LED display and the unique CLEARYL water filtration system to purify water and eliminate the need for decalcification. Sensors indicate when water or coffee beans need to be refilled. A separate funnel accommodates ground coffee for decaf or other varieties.

The Auto Cappuccino System makes it easier than ever before to froth or steam milk, with no need to move the cup from the frother to the coffee spout to make cappuccinos or lattes. Pros

One Touch - One-Touch capability at lowest price point. Programmable One-Touch frothing and steaming settings.
Reliability - Jura has a higher reliability rating than most competitors.
Rinsing Cycle - Jura's aggressive cleaning and rinsing cycles keep it in tip-top shape. The LCD screen conveniently displays maintenance needs.

Cons

Steaming - While the steam wand is capable of producing ample microfoam, the wand mechanism could be more sturdy-feeling.
Pricey cleaning products - Jura brand cleaning and descaling tablets can add up. Consider an off-brand alternative.
Clean it up - Rinsing the One-Touch components must be done religiously unless you intend to make cheese instead of coffee!

How it Works

Fill the water tank to the maximum mark and prime machine per user manual.
Fill the bean hopper with beans.

One-touch cappuccino and latte macchiato buttons...with the One Touch Cappuccino button your coffee is ground, the chilled milk is siphoned, heated and frothed into your cup. The coffee is then brewed without ever moving your cup. No other system is faster or easier to use.
One Touch Latte Macchiato...with the push of the One Touch Latte Macchiato button, the coffee is ground, chilled milk siphoned, heated and frothed into your cup. The cycle then “pauses” to allow the milk fat to separate and then the coffee is brewed without ever moving your cup for the perfect Latte Macchiato.
A La Carte Button...with the a la carte button and the rotary dial you can override the coffee strength and cup size just before brewing. The new technology with the rotary dial also allows you to adjust the strength of the coffee on all beverages buttons while it is grinding and to adjust the cup size during the brewing cycle.

The coffee button not only lets you set the strength, but also the amount of water by half ounces up to 8oz. The water tank is large enough to let me make a couple of 16oz drinks before refilling. With the thermos milk attachment, this machine has a second espresso wand next to the milk frothing wand which allows this machine to make a latte/cappuccino with push of a single button, real nice. The lever for setting the milk for latte or cappuccino also has a steam setting. I like my latte's relatively hot and I found that if you set your lever for milk latte setting as close to the steam setting before entering the steam setting, you can increase the temperature of the milk and get a really hot latte. I am not really sure why they have a steam setting since they do not supply a wand extension for steaming milk. I can find little I don't like about this machine and definitely would recommend it.
