Jura Capresso ENA 3 Automatic Coffee Center
The worlds slimmest bean to cup espresso machine and coffee maker!

Less than 9 1/2 inches wide, the Jura-Capresso ENA Series is the world's slimmest automatic coffee center, offering a true bean-to-cup experience with amazing ease of use and environmentally friendly features to save energy.  Created for the coffee enthusiast, its smaller footprint frees up counter space while offering a true bean-to-cup experience for the best in authentic crema coffee, espresso, cappuccino and latte.  This slim beauty features 18 bars of pressure, a professional-grade conical burr grinder and multiple convenience features.

At the touch of a button, it grinds, tamps, brews and self-cleans in less than 60 seconds for high-pressure brewed crema coffee or espresso to rival any coffee cafe.  Cappuccinos and lattes are easy with the Dual Frother Plus to froth like a barista.  A hot water dispenser can be used for Cafe Americano or tea. A stainless steel lined thermoblock heats quickly to minimize wait times before initial brewing and steaming.  A separate automatic ground coffee funnel lets you brew decaf or other varieties of coffee.

    Crew Review

    Pros
    • Compact - At under 9 1/2 inches wide, the Ena series frees up counter space.
    • Reliability - Jura has a higher reliability rating than most competitors.
    • Rinsing Cycle - The Ena's aggressive cleaning and rinsing cycles keep it in tip-top shape. The LCD screen conveniently displays maintenance needs.

    Cons
    • Steaming - While the steam wand is capable of producing ample microfoam, the wand mechanism could be more sturdy-feeling.
    • Water capacity - With the smaller footprint comes a smallish, 37 oz. water reservoir.
    • Pricey cleaning products - Jura brand cleaning and descaling tablets can add up. Consider an off-brand alternative.

    How it Works
    1. Fill the water tank to the maximum mark and prime machine per user manual.
    2. Fill the bean hopper with beans.

    4. Set the rotary dial to your desired volume and strength settings
    5. Push the rotary dial to begin brewing
    6. Steam milk by turning the rotary dial to steam, then turn the steam knob to steam.

I couldn't be happier with the machine... June 2, 2009
Reviewer: Craig H. from Maple Grove, MN United States
...and all the extras, including the excellent espresso coffee. It was delivered in perfect condition and it is a real jewel to behold. Once up and running I found it works just as well and is amazingly compact for all it can do. It is perfect for those with less counter space. It works just as represented and produces a beautiful crema every time with a variety of beans I have tried so far. I have found it most easy to operate and keep clean in daily use when compared with several manual machines I have experienced in the past. The instruction book is particularly well written and is easy to follow step by step for more complicated settings or operations such as the filter installation and tablet cleaning cycle procedures.

    I like the product... June 1, 2009
Reviewer: Lucy N. from Redmond, WA United States
...due to being fast, grinds coffee beans for you so the coffee tastes better, and is sleek looking and compact (for the most part). What I don't like is the fact the water container is so small, one is constantly filling it up. Also, I think it could be more efficient in using the coffee it grind - from judging the output and color of the coffee to the amount of grounds. One other thing I don't like is that the plug is not a flat plug. One would gain an inch or more wall space if the plug was designed flat against the wall.

The ENA 3 is a great machine... May 31, 2009
Reviewer: Shawn D. from West Springfield, MA United States
Makes a great latte! I highly recommend this machine. Pros: 1)Good build quality. Feels like it'll last forever. 2)Mostly easy to clean. 3)Comparatively inexpensive. 4)Small footprint. 5)Zero energy draw when off. 6)Makes a great drink. Cons: 1)Steam wand is a pain to clean. I pull it off after every use scrub it in the sink with a small brush, but milk gets trapped where the 2 pieces overlap. 2)A few times I have had the steam wand blow off into the milk. It just pushes into place and is held by the rubber fitting. Pressure build up (dirty wand) causes it to blow off. 3)The water tank needs to be filled often with just my wife and I using it. I knew the tank was small from the specs, but it's annoying. Also the tank pulls straight up from the rear of the unit and my cabinets are in the way. I must pull the unit to the very front of the counter every time I need to refill the tank. 4)I often have to move the beans around in the hopper. They don't always settle nicely after a grind.

Very Dry Cappuccino = Happy Marriage March 26, 2009
Reviewer: Linda D. from Sisters, OR United States
Our prior espresso machine had to be sent twice to Seattle Coffee Gear for repairs within the first year, and I had to call 2-3 times to the manufacturer about other problems and parts were sent out. When the third problem arose, we decided it was time to cash in our warranty and get one that would be reliable. Since Seattle Coffee Gear had done the repairs, and has a wide range/variety of espresso coffee makers, I called and asked which espresso machine, within our budget, had the fewest problems and repairs. She recommended this one, and she was right on! The machine is easy to use, makes great coffee and no problems after two months. It took us some time to figure out the quantity settings but since then, we are very satisfied and highly recommend this machine to anyone looking for a moderately priced machine. My husband is especially happy as he likes a very dry cappuccino and the steam device works for him perfectly! That makes me happy and is less of a strain on our marriage!
