La Spaziale Mini Vivaldi II Espresso Machine
Matching the excellent temperature regulation of its big brother,
La Spaziale's Mini-Vivaldi II has an internal water tank, making it a
great fit for those who want a double boiler but don't have the option
of plumbing in their espresso machine. It also comes with the upgraded
.9mm 4-hole tip to help you produce creamy microfoam for your
cappuccinos or lattes.
This new La Spaziale update has added a few features both to extend
reliability and improve appearance. With a newly designed stainless
steel cup warmer as well as a removing the triacs and fan, replaced with
dual solid state relay, lowering the overall noise of the machine. The
screws in the water tank were replaced to avoid rusting as well.

Cons
- Size Does Matter - With two
boilers, the Mini-Vivaldi is an espresso machine with considerable
girth, so keep this in mind before you try to squeeze it onto your
kitchen counter
- Not Plumbed - The ability to
plumb in or not can be a pro or a con, depending on your specific
circumstances, but if you're looking to use this in a commercial
environment, the manual tank refill may prove to be more trouble than
it's worth. For a better commercial
solution, we recommend investing in
the Mini-Vivaldi's sibling, the Vivaldi II S1

How it WorksMaking fabulous espresso is a cinch with these easy steps:
- Turn the espresso machine on; brewing temperature will likely be reached in about 10 minutes
- While you're waiting for the machine to warm up, you can grind and tamp your espresso in your portafilter
- When brew temperature is reached, push the shot button to pull some
water through the brew group, warming up all internal components prior
to pulling your shot
- Insert your portafilter and initiate the shot by pushing the button
- Your shot will complete when you've automatically pre-programmed it
to end and pressure will release through the valve -- you'll end up with
a dry puck for disposal
- If you're making a latte or cappuccino, feel free to steam your
milk at any time; the double boiler facilitates simultaneous brew and
steam
- The included manual will walk you through how to easily program temperature, dosage timing and pre-infusion preferences.
Features on the La Spaziale Mini Vivaldi II
- Dual Boiler: Superior temperature management is handled by a 1.2 liter boiler for hot water and steam and a .45 liter boiler for brewing.
- Easy Temperature Management:
Located on the front of the machine, 1C degree increments enable you to
tailor the espresso brewing temperature to suit your needs, ranging
from 91C (195.8F) to 97C (206.6F).
- Dual Manometer: Gauges help you easily monitor boiler and pump output pressure.
- Large Water Tank: 3 liter tank allows you to fill less often.
- Vibratory Pump: Internal pump has a built-in cut off safety feature.
- 4-Hole Tip Steam Wand:
Swivel steam wand is made of stainless steel and features 4 .9mm holes
for improved steaming functionality. Hot water for Americanos or brewing
tea is delivered via a separate dispenser.
- Dosage Programming: Select your ideal shot volume and then easily brew shot after shot with one touch.
- Improved Cup Warming Tray: The cup tray on Mini Vivaldi has been improved with more stainless steel and less plastic.
- No Rust in the Water Reservoir: No more screws in the water reservoir means no possibility of rust in the tank.
- Automatic Boiler Refill:
Driven electronically, the boiler will automatically refill and is
mediated by a built-in safety thermostat to ensure excellent temperature
regulation without worry of burning it out.
- Sophisticated Temperature Regulation:
Internal thermometers will activate the heater when a temperature drop
of at least one half degree Celsius is detected. This functionality
provides an extremely precise temperature reading in both the steaming
and brew group boilers, resulting in enhanced performance and superior
shot extraction.
- Choice of 15 or 20 Amp Circuit:
The Mini-Vivaldi II can work on either a 15 amp or 20 amp circuit and
we can configure it for you based on your selection before we ship it
out. What's the difference between these two power levels?
- 15 Amp: The machine cycles power between the boilers to assure that
both are never on at the same time; this uses less power, but the
recovery times between multiple shots and/or milk steaming is slightly
longer than if configured at 20 amp.
- 20 Amp: Both boilers will be on at the same time and so recovery times are faster than in 15 amp mode.
If you want to switch between the modes out in your home or business
after it's been configured, there are easy-to-follow instructions in
the manual. However, if your machine was originally configured for 20
amps, it will have the corresponding power cord; to adapt it from 20
amps to 15 amps (after you've followed the instructions to change it
internally), you'll need this power cord adapter.
