Pros
- Heat Exchange Boiler - Consistency in temperature is essential to great espresso, and the Anita's large heat exchange boiler evenly regulates temperature, allowing you to brew espresso and steam milk simultaneously. In fact, it's the most affordable model with this feature on the market
- E-61 Brew Head - The commercial grade E-61 brew group is renown as a purveyor of excellent shots of espresso
- Ease of Use - The Anita is not a complicated espresso machine and we've found that learning how to pull great shots on this beauty is incredibly easy
|
Cons
- Toasty - The brew group, steam and hot water wands aren't burn proof like some of the other Quick Mill models, so watch out that you or your guests don't burn yourselves
- Non-Plumbable - The Anita is not a plumbable espresso machine, and some folks have complained that filling the reservoir isn't that easy -- especially if you don't have a lot of space between your counter and your cabinets (clear overhead access is necessary)
- Handle-Heavy Portafilters - Some users have noticed that the portafilter is balanced toward the handle, so it doesn't easily sit in your grinder's holder without manual assistance

How it Works
The Anita is very easy to use -- here's a basic outline of the process:
- Turn the espresso machine on; brewing temperature will likely be reached in about 10 minutes
- Wait for the needle in the boiler pressure gauge to be between 1 and 1.5 bars of pressure
- While you're waiting for the machine to warm up, you can grind and tamp your espresso in your portafilter
- When brew temperature is reached, lift the lever to pull some water through the brew group, warming up all internal components prior to pulling your shot
- Insert your portafilter and initiate the shot by lifting the lever
- Once your shot is complete, push the lever back down to end the shot and release pressure -- you'll end up with a dry coffee puck for disposal
- If you're making a latte or cappuccino, feel free to steam your milk at any time; the heat exchange boiler facilitates simultaneous brew and steam

Features & Accessories
Possibly one of the best values for money out there, the Anita semi-automatic espresso machine blends ease of use with commercial-grade function.
Components & Functionality
- Stainless Steel Body: The Anita features heavy-duty, polished stainless steel housing (with a removable cup warmer), pull out drip tray and grate. The outer shell is easy to remove for easy maintenance.
- Commercial-Grade Boiler: A large, insulated 1.6-liter copper boiler warms up in about 10 minutes and utilizes heat exchange functionality so you can brew and steam at the same time. A high-quality vacuum breaker enables you to put the machine on a timer with no vapor lock and, once it's up to temperature, it will brew continuously throughout the day.
- Brass Portafilters: Commercially designed, heavy chrome-plated brass portafilters provide you with excellent temperature stability.
- E-61 Brew Group: This commercial class brew group regulates temperature for brewing excellent espresso and features a thermal siphon design which stabilizes the brew group's temperature during periods of inactivity.
- Low Water Cut Off: A precise magnetic sensor will cut off power to the boiler's heating circuit, but not the pump. This will save you from a boiler burn-out, but also allow you to finish if you're in the middle of pulling a shot.
- Lever Controlled, 3-Way Bipass: The Anita's simple lever brewing design features a pressure release valve so you'll end up with a dry coffee puck post-brew.
- Pressure Gauges: This espresso machine features two gauges on the front: One for boiler pressure, the other for pump pressure. The boiler's temperature is mediated by a pressure controller, which senses any drops in pressure and responds by kicking on the heating element. You can easily adjust the pressure as needed via the access port without removing the outer shell.
- Ulka Pump: 52 watt vibratory pump with thermal overload protection.
- Large Water Reservoir: The Anita's water reservoir holds up to 3 liters of water.
- Separate Nozzles: You'll have a steam wand for making lattes or cappuccinos and a separate hot water dispenser for your Americanos or cups of tea.

Included Accessories
- Filter Basket Set: Your Anita will come with a set of three filter baskets for your portafilter: A single, a double and a blind basket for use in backflushing.
