Saeco Exprelia One Touch Superautomatic Espresso Machine
One notch simpler than it's intuitive fellow high-end superautomatic counterpart the Saeco Xelsis, the Exprelia also is a one touch machine that will provide you with your favorite caffeinated drinks at a push of a button.
Stocked with a double boiler for instant steam and automatic milk frothing function, the Exprelia's bean-to-cup customization lets you not only have the choice to foam up your frothy drinks with the steam wand or milk carafe but gives you the control to adjust your espresso's crema and body structure.
Easy to use and clean, the programmed buttons for cappuccinos, lattes, macchiatos and access to automatic cleaning and descaling will allow you to sit back relax and not lift another finger while you enjoy the frothy goodness your machine will produce.

Crew Review
Pros
- One-Touch - The Exprelia has true one-touch cappuccinos, lattes and other beverages using Saeco's removable milk carafe. We really love the automatic cleaning cycle
- Alternate Steam Wand with Dedicated Bolier - Want to create some microfoam or like your latte extra hot? The Exprelia has an alternate steaming wand with more steaming power (and no panarello) than any other superautomatic we have tested

Cons
- No Oily Beans - Oily beans really gunk up
superautomatic grinders, and the Talea Touch Plus is no exception. Try
to stick to a medium roast for best results
- Milk Carafe Hot but not Extra Hot - In testing the automatic milk was good and hot as is typical of competitive one touch models like the Jura Z5/Z6 or Delonghi Gran Dama. If you are looking for an extra hot latte you can use the alternate steaming wand to get the milk as hot as you like. (Competitive models do not have this option)

Features on the Saeco Exprelia
The Saeco Exprelia is ready to serve your personalized and specialty caffeinated drinks. At a touch of a button you'll be enjoying your favorite drinks immediately with its beverage selection interface and double boiler action:
- Removable Milk Frothing Carafe with Automatic Cleaning Cycle: External container automatically froths milk into your cup. The top portion of the handle swivels to the left to dispense steamed milk directly into your cup during the brew cycle. When the handle is swiveled back to the container it automatically rinses itself to keep the container clean and clear of any milk clogs.
- Alternate Steaming and Hot Water Wand: The Xelsis has a dedicated hot water and alternate steaming wand with dedicated 2nd boiler for strong steaming power. The stainless steel wand does not include a panarello and is perfect for creating your own micro-foam. Watch Gail and Kat use the Steaming Wand.
- Removable Water Tank: 1.5 liter removable water tank includes Intenza water filter.
- Double Boiler System: The Exprelia has 2 stainless steel boilers that ensure there is always water at the right temperature for brewing, steaming, or dispensing hot water.
- Saeco Brewing System (SBS): Allows you to choose the strength and consistency of your coffee by turning a dial.
- Aroma System: The Saeco Aroma System pre-wets your coffee grinds to ensure the best possible coffee extraction. This feature, also known as pre-infusion, can be turned off or on, or lengthened to suit your taste.
- Auto-Clean: Your Saeco super automatic will automatically clean and descale for you leaving you with a well maintained machine that will produce flavorful drinks every time
- Customization: Each beverage can be set to your personal preference. It allows you to program the quantity of coffee to grind, coffee temperature, size of your drink and quantity of milk or water
Care
For detailed care instructions, please refer to your machine's user manual. We recommend that you also incorporate the following into your cleaning routine:
- Descale every 2 - 3 months. We recommend using Dezcal. Read: How to Descale an Espresso Machine
- Soap out water tank and drip trays every few days
- Clean and rinse the milk pitcher in soapy water between fillings
- Remove the brew group and spray it down with hot water (no soap!) about once per week. Alternatively, the Xelsis can automatically clean the brew group using the included cleaning tablets (Cafiza Home).
- Wipe the brushed stainless casing with a damp rag or sponge. Casing can be cleaned periodically with stainless steel cleaner/polish.
