Description   Upgrade your Saeco or Starbucks espresso machine by swapping out your pressurized portafilter handle with this non-pressurized version. Using the same baskets that came originally with your espresso machine, you can easily brew traditional shots of espresso with a beautiful crema! This portafilter handle is compatible with the following espresso machines: Saeco Aroma Starbucks Barista Starbucks Via Venezia Estro Profi Saeco Magic Cappuccino Saeco Gran Crema Saeco Via Veneto Saeco Classico How it works: Pop in either the single or double filter basket that was included with your machine. Fill the basket to the top with fresh, finely ground espresso that is as uniform in consistency as possible. Apply 30lbs of pressure when you tamp your coffee...not sure how much 30lbs is? Easily calibrate this by testing your tamp pressure on a bathroom scale. Insert the portafilter into the group head on your espresso machine. Place your cup or shot glasses underneath the spouts and activate the brew switch. It should take about 25 seconds to extract 3 ounces of espresso using the double basket. If the espresso is coming out too quickly, it's because either your grind is too coarse or your tamp too light; if it's coming out too slowly, your grind is too fine or your tamp too tight. Incredible difference November 7, 2009 Reviewer: Kurt Hoffman from Wauseon, OH United States   I have been very happy with my Saeco Aroma but after watching Gail and Kat demonstrate this upgrade I thought I would give it a try.  The portafilter just arrived today and I am sipping my first non-pressurized latte as I type.  This upgrade has breathed new life into my Aroma.  I nailed the grind on my Baratza Maestro on the second pull (after watching more videos, thanks a million gals for your very informative narrations!).  I would suggest this upgrade to anyone with an Aroma. This is GREAT! September 27, 2009 Reviewer: Steve S. from Shawnee, KS United States   Sorry for shouting, but this has revived what I thought was a dead machine. My machine would barely give me any espresso at all. I thought the pump was probably done working. After researching this problem I came across your website as a possible solution. It seems as though the original design of my portafilter was less than desirable. I watched Seattle Coffee Gear's video demonstration and thought I should go ahead and try it. I was really unsure of what to expect, only because of my problems with my machine. This replacement portafilter delivered as promised. Immediately I was making great shots! I had to practice my grind and tamping and things are GREAT! I would highly recommend this product to anyone that is frustrated with their pressurized system I was about to give up on my machine.
