This machine is rated for light commercial use and will keep up with your demanding coffee, espresso and latte production needs...
The Royal Professional has long been a staple of the Saeco line by offering low cost professional quality service for making any of your favorite coffee house drinks. While most folks purchase this model for home and office use, it is well suited for light commercial use is a small cafe or sandwich shop. The Royal Professional features a "button to coffee" approach to brewing espresso or coffee drinks in seconds; just press a button for espresso or coffee. An easy-to-read, backlit digital display will guide you completely through the espresso and coffee making process. The control panel also gives you unprecedented control over the machine. You can adjust the quantity of coffee and water for each cup and the coffee temperature too. You can have a coffee bar in your home or office without taking a lot of counter space because the Royal Professional is compact and it easily tucks under most overhead cabinets.
A stunning feature of this model is the fully automated automatic milk frothing system that will have you serving perfect foam for cappuccino and frothy lattes in seconds. As an additional feature to the standard built-in steam wand, the auto frother makes dense foam at the press of a button!
The Royal Professional has also been equipped with the coveted Saeco Rapid-Steam Technology, an advanced system that reduces the normal waiting time between coffee brewing and steam output to just a few seconds. That means fantastic cappuccinos and lattes in no time in the home or office. Turn the steam knob and you'll instantly have lots of steam for all of your favorite coffee house drinks.

Also enjoy a cup warming feature, swivel base for better access to the side and back of the machine, comprehensive automatic cleaning and descaling features, removable internal brewing system for simple cleanup, accessories for maintaining your new Saeco machine, and unlimited toll free telephone support and advice and 2 years parts and labor warranty.
Fully Automated Milk Frothing System The
Royal Professional is one of the few coffee and espresso centers that
features a built-in automatic milk frothing system for making textbook
cappuccinos. Although this machine comes equipped with a milk frothing
wand for heating milk for lattes and cafe mochas, the automatic milk
frothing system yields perfect foam for cappuccinos. It works by
drawing milk out of a container (like a pint of milk or small pitcher),
combines the milk with steam, and then froths the milk which then is
deposited right into your coffee mug. You can also control the
consistency of the foam.
Multi-Function Digital Screen It is
good to keep tabs on your machine. With a quick glance at the digital
screen, you'll see all the functions and options. Do you want to brew
one cup or two? Is your machine in the automatic rinsing or cleaning
cycle? Is it grinding or brewing? It's all on the readout display. This
versatile machine is also multilingual and can be programmed in
English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, or
Dutch.
On-Screen Functions:
- Program your favorite language.
- Select just the right temperature from Low, Medium, High and Maximum.
- Set up the cup size you'd like for each brewing cycle to small, medium or large, or any volume in between.
- Monitor the number of cups you brew in a day.
- Set the machine to turn itself off after 15 minutes or up to 3 hours of non-use.
- Set a warning signal telling you when the machine needs to be cleaned.
- Select the automatic rinsing and de-scaling function. (Good
maintenance insures top working order and prevents mineral deposits and
lime scale from accumulating in the boiler and brewing systems, a major
cause of mal-functions!)
- Tell the coffee warmer to turn on or off.
- Vending information center and password.
- Plus many other features.
Hot Water Dispenser & Rapid-SteamTechnology We
are all steamed up about Saeco's patented Rapid-Steam system! Turn the
steam knob and have instant steam you want for cappuccinos or lattes.
Other systems can have you waiting up to 45 seconds for the steam
function to be ready but not with Rapid-Steam; you'll have consistent
steam for repeated drinks. An optional frothing tip for adding milk
froth comes with the machine and delivers perfect foam every time for
lattes or cappuccinos, even if you have never foamed milk before! The
steam wand is located on the left-front of the machine and it
accommodates frothing pitchers up to 32 oz. If you need instant hot
water for making tea, hot cocoa, or Americanos, the hot water feature
is available at the press of a button.
3 Pre-Set Buttons for Cup Size Selection Getting
a great cup of your favorite coffee is as easy as one, two, three.
Press a button for a single or double shot of espresso. You can brew a
small, medium, or large cup of coffee and vary the strength to your
taste. Just press the button and within 30-40 seconds you will be
enjoying a perfect beverage.
Espresso or Fresh Brewed Coffee By The Cup Ready
to move to connoisseur status? Then try making a Cafe Creme! It's
simple with the Royal Professional's ability to adjust for the
coarseness of the ground, allowing you to brew a Cafe Creme, often
referred to as Swiss brewed coffee for the country that made it
popular. Here's the difference. Espresso uses a finer ground bean to
create a dense pack that restricts the water flow through the grounds,
hence the very strong, intense flavor. It also takes a little longer to
brew, anywhere between 15 to 20 seconds for 1.5 ounces.
For a
Cafe Creme, (or crema coffee) a courser ground is needed, a simple
adjustment on this great machine. This coarser ground allows for more
water to pass through faster, resulting in a frothy layer of coffee
that floats on the top: the crema. Aromatic and rich, it is not as
intense a coffee as the espresso but equally delicious. This feature
also makes the Royal Professional a natural replacement for traditional
coffee makers
Special Pre-Ground Coffee Funnel This
option allows you to pour pre-ground coffee into a funnel that is
accessed by lifting a small lid on top of the machine. This feature is
perfect when there is someone in the crowd who wants a decaffeinated
espresso and there are only caffeine espresso beans in the machine, or
if you wish to sample other blends of coffee. After making a cup of
coffee with the pre-ground option, the machine automatically resets
back to the beans held in the machine. It's all up to taster's choice.
Coffee Strength Function The
Royal Professional has a feature that will allow you to adjust the
amount of coffee to be ground for each individual cup. Adjust it from 6
grams (- sign) to 9 grams (+ sign) to change the strength of the
coffee. 7 grams of ground coffee is the usual amount for espresso, 9
grams is used for coffee.
Special Pre-infusion Brew System Cycle Pre-infusion
allows you to get maximum flavor from the brewing process. This
advanced system takes the newly ground coffee beans from the internal
Royal Professional coffee grinder and correctly tamps the coffee. Next
comes "pre-infusion." To optimize the flavor extraction, a special step
injects a little hot water into the freshly ground coffee, in order to
soak it and let it swell up. This is done just before the actual brew
cycle commences. The grounds are pre-soaked and then brewed before
being discarded automatically into the internal dump box. The machine
then resets itself for the next brewing cycle.
Professional Quality Coffee Grinder Proper
grinding is at the core of excellent coffee production. The Royal
Professional has a built-in, conical type burr grinder, the same type
used by the professionals. Pushing the brew button sets the cycle in
motion with the grinder measuring out the correct amount of beans for
the selection made and then grinding it to specifications.
Conical
burr grinders are made up of a cone shaped grinding wheel that turns
slow enough not to burn the coffee beans, (a problem with low cost
grinders). The heavy-duty steel of the grinding wheel promotes a life
of long service and that's strong enough to resist damage from the
little stones that sometimes slip in with the beans. This durable
construction is consistent with top quality machines and little or no
maintenance or service is needed.
Built-in 82 Ounce Water Tank The
Royal Professional water reservoir can easily be refilled while it is
still on the machine or by removing it with the easy-grip handle and
filling it at the kitchen tap. The reservoir is made of clear ABS
plastic so checking the water level is a breeze. When the water runs
low, the digital display will remind you when to refill it.
For Perfect Coffee Extraction - a Powerful Pump Delivering a maximum pressure of 15 bars, this on board water pump pulls the maximum flavor from the coffee beans.
Coffee Bean Storage Hopper & Internal Dump Box Keeping
beans fresh and ready for grinding is the built in, lidded coffee bean
hopper. This large capacity allows up to 30 cups of coffee to be
prepared before refilling is needed. When the coffee grounds are spent,
the machine delivers them to the internal dump box, which can hold up
to 30 expended coffee portions. It's easy to remove and clean.
Cup Count Inquiring
minds want to know how many cups of espresso you've brewed in a day or
a week or a month. It's fun to see the number of drinks your machine
has produced, but it also serves to alert you to maintenance and even
financial data if it's being used in an office. Just how many cups of
coffee are your employees drinking each day?
Heavy Duty Heating System One
of the reasons this the Royal Professional is great for anything from
small commercial settings to home or office use, is its durable 1250
watt boiler. It provides for continuous use or a lot of servings over a
short time period
Adjustable Beverage Dispensing Nozzle This coffee dispensing nozzle moves up or down to accept cup sizes up to 4 inches high.
Heated Cup Stacking Surface Located
on the top of this machine is a heated surface made of non-stick metal
that allows you to stack up those espresso cups and keep them toasty.
Using the on-screen functions, you can turn this feature on or off.
Swivel Base Getting
into your espresso machine for cleaning and maintenance is important
for the long life of your machine. The swivel base makes it easy to
access all sides of your machine to remove the water tank and open the
side service door.
Cleaning & Maintenance of Components In
order to keep the inside of your machine healthy, your machine must be
cleaned periodically. Scale buildup from naturally occurring minerals
in your water can build up on sensitive components like the inside of
the boiler, which left unchecked can cause considerable damage to the
machine. By descaling your machine every two-three months, your machine
will last for many trouble-free years. Saeco espresso machine cleaner
can be purchased from us or by calling the support number in your user
guide.
The machine will tell you when it's time to activate
the self-clean system by displaying a message on the digital screen.
After adding our cleaner, just press the clean button. The machine will
take it from there. Descaling and general cleaning is important even if
you have a sophisticated water filter system, and especially if you use
well water.
Used coffee grounds are collected in the grounds
dump box, which can hold up to 30 spent portions of coffee before
emptying is required, and a message will appear on screen to let you
know it needs to be emptied. Waste water left over from the rinsing
cycles is stored in removable drip tray that simply pulls out from the
machine and reinserts in seconds. All components such as the used
grounds container, drip tray, and water tank can be hand washed with
regular soap and water.
Removable Internal Brew System...Cleanup Is Easy The
patented removable internal brewing system (brew group) has been tested
millions of times throughout the world. It only takes a simple gesture
for it to be quickly and easily removed from the machine and cleaned.
Just rinse it under running water to remove all traces of dirt and
coffee residues, which when left inside the machine, change the flavor
of the coffee and interfere with the correct functioning of the brew
group. In this way, the quality of the finest espresso never alters.
Installation & Accessories Plug
it in and the Royal Professional is ready to go. No fuss, no muss, no
special plumbing for water intake or discharge and no special
electrical outlets are required. This model can not be plumbed to a
water hook-up; it must use the internal water reservoir. If you need
this feature, please see the Saeco Royal Coffee Bar model, as it has a
water hook-up feature. Detailed instructions on the optimum care and
operation of your machine is included with the purchase along with a
brewing group maintenance tool and a coffee grinder cleaning brush.
