Description   Are you tired of espresso machines that communicate to you with blinking lights and leave you wondering what exactly they may be doing? Upgrade to this Super Automatic Coffee Center with an interactive LCD screen that not only tells you want the Saeco Vspresso is doing but also informs you if it requires any action on your part. The LCD offers a menu and list of programming functions that are never found on non-digital units. Program cup sizes and brewing temperatures. Operate the automatic rinsing and descaling cycles. Program a set amount of time for the Vspresso to automatically power down when idle and even see how many cups have been brewed on the unit. The Saeco Vspresso includes 3 programmable coffee brewing buttons. To set these, simply push and hold the button of choice until the desired amount of espresso is dispensed up to 8 ounces. Once you release the button, the V'spresso will remember your setting each time you brew your favorite beverage. Use the Saeco Opti-DoseŽ system to adjust the amount of ground espresso to be used each time you brew. It adjusts from 6 to 9 grams (mild to strong) and will retain your setting unless you choose to change it manually. Making beverages could not be easier. Simply push your programmed drink button and let the V'spresso do the rest. It will automatically grind, tamp and brew your beverage and then dispose of the used coffee grounds before the next cycle. The power plant of the Saeco V'spresso is made of two stainless steel-lined ThermoBlock boilers, one for brewing and one for steam. Unlike a traditional boiler, thermoblocks offer rapid warm-up times paired with efficient, on-demand water usage. Turn on the V'spresso, and it will be ready to brew in just a few moments. The second Rapid SteamŽ boiler is left turned off to conserve energy until it is needed for steam. ThermoBlock technology channels the water through the heating element while minimizing the amount of water heated to what the user demands. This process ensures water does not become stale sitting in a boiler for an extended period of time. When you are ready to steam or froth your milk, simply turn the steam knob, and the V'spresso will fire up the second boiler and start pouring out steam in about 10 seconds. The Saeco V'spresso incorporates the Saeco Aroma SystemŽ to extract the full aroma of coffee beans into every cup. A special pre-programmed step injects a small amount of hot water into the freshly ground coffee to start a pre-brewing process. The actual brewing cycle begins about 2 seconds afterward, allowing for enough time to fully saturate the grounds and achieve maximum flavor. Creating perfect micro-foam milk froth can be a difficult task and is an accomplishment to be proud of. The Saeco V'spresso strives to make the entire job much more simple. The Panarello milk frothing wand divides steam for milk into three directions forcing more air and steam into the entire pitcher of cold milk. This will allow you to heat your milk faster and more evenly resulting perfect steamed milk for lattes or exquisite micro-foam for cappuccinos. The Saeco Vspresso features a built-in conical burr grinder with 18 different grind settings to accommodate different coffee roasts and personal tastes. Conical burr grinders are made up of a cone shaped grinding wheel that turns slow enough not to burn the coffee beans, (a problem with low cost grinders). The heavy-duty steel of the grinding wheel promotes a life of long service and is strong enough to resist damage from the little stones that sometimes slip in with the beans. As an added bonus, the V'spresso also sports a bypass doser for pre-ground coffee. This is a great feature if you want to enjoy a decaf espresso or try a new roast without digging out the beans in the hopper.   The patented Saeco Easy Clean SystemŽ removable internal brew group has been tested millions of times throughout the world. It only takes a simple gesture for it to be quickly and easily removed from the machine and cleaned. Just rinse it under running water to remove all traces of dirt and coffee residues, which when left inside the machine, change the flavor of the coffee and interfere with the correct functioning of the brew group. When this cleaning is done in conjunction with the automatic descaling cycle, the V'spresso will produce consistently delicious espresso every time you turn it on. The Saeco V'spresso can utilize the optional Aqua Prima water filter (sold separately) to not only improve the taste of your coffee, but also to protect the internal components of the machine. Regular replacement of the Aqua Prima filter ensures the removal of chlorine, lead, aluminum, and copper for a better tasting coffee. It will also reduce the formation of limescale and protect the V'spresso from the corrosive nature of tap water. This is my third purchase of a Saeco September 27, 2009 Reviewer: Linda D. from Pickerington, OH United States   We upgraded because we remodeled the kitchen and wanted to upgrade our machine too. The Vspresso has several improvements over our old Vienna Deluxe. It tamps three times, it has separate steam pumps for coffee and the steaming wand, and it has a display menu that makes maintenance easier: Notification occurs when the dregs basket is full; no guessing. Notification occurs when the water level is low (not gone). It has an espresso cup warmer on top. It shuts down after a few hours to save electricity, but heats up quickly when I get home from work. There is space for a water filter inside the water tank, to cut down on lime scale. I enjoy a cup of espresso or cappuccino 2-3 times a day. Owning my own machine makes it convenient and cost effective. Besides, my family and guests love to have an elegant cup of coffee when visiting or after a meal.
