Measure your coffee beans with accuracy and ease with the small and compact ADE Pocket Scale. The hand-held scale fits snugly into your kitchen or coffee prep area and can weigh items from 0.1 to 300 grams in a matter of seconds. Other features of the ADE Pocket Scale? It comes complete with a plastic lid that doubles as a measuring tray, an easy-to-read display, simple calibration, a stainless-steel platform and an add and weight function that will automatically shut off when not in use.
How the ADE Pocket Scale Works
- Press and release ON/OFF button, and wait until display shows 0
- If using the measuring tray, place it on the scale before switching on or press TARE to zero out scale
- When first switched on, the scale will display solid measures (g or oz). Press the CAL/MODE button to switch measurements. To measure coffee beans, use grams
- To weigh several different ingredients in one bowl, press ZERO/TARE to reset the display between ingredients
- Auto switch off occurs if the display shows 0 for one minute or shows the same weight reading for three minutes
- To maximize battery life press the OFF button

Quality Price Value I just wish it would stay on for 5 minutes rather than 58 SECONDS. That would be great. Other than that, it works great, good size for espressos and to weigh the beans.

Price Value Quality I was, shall I say, 'fat, dumb, and happy cranking out my daily double x double espresso'. I read an article on the web about the importance of using a scale, and was a bit reluctant at first. After reading the article again, and watching Gail's video, I went for it, and ordered it from Seattle Coffee Gear.
Well, I am still fat and dumb, but now, I am MUCH HAPPIER ! After about 20 years, I pulled the BEST SHOTS of my life. It is accurate, to a fault! Though the angle of view to read it takes some getting use to, it is PERFECT! I am using Gail's recommended 17 grams @ 25 seconds (with a small timer) and she is spot on!
I have made several purchases from S C G, and have found their service and delivery to be outstanding. Truly outstanding!
How good is this scale, Gail's timing suggestion, and S C G service? I would recommend it, and S C G to my Mom!(Posted on 1/8/13)
