Bialetti takes the tradition of stovetop espresso to new levels with the introduction of its first ever stovetop cappuccino maker: The Mukka Express. Employing the decades-old tradition of stovetop brewing with a new twist, the top portion of the Mukka Express is filled with milk so that as the espresso enters the top chamber, it mixes with the steamed milk. Within seconds, rich, aromatic cappuccino is brewed and ready to serve.

A Note About Coffee & Cups
Let us break it down for you: Although 8 ounces equals a cup in the baking world, a US cup of coffee is measured at 6 ounces and a European cup of coffee is measured at 4.25 ounces. This is why we sometimes list ounces to paint a more accurate picture of capacity.
Pros
All in One - Create delicious cappuccinos in one easy-to-use product.
Cons
Aluminum - Some people may not like that it's made of aluminum.
Not Traditional Espresso - Because the espresso made from the Bialetti Mukka Express is not from a steam-driven extraction, it's not considered traditional espresso.

Thanks for writing in! For electric stoves you will want to use 3/4 Cup of water, and slightly less for a gas stove. Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions!
S H:You dont really need the measuring cup. Add water to just below the line inside the bottom section if you are using electric stove. Add water to the line if using a burner.Apr 11, 2012
A shopper asked:When it works it's great. However, the seal doesn't seem to be tight. If often leaks where the top and bottom are connected. Is there anyway to get a rubber seal?Feb 15, 2013
Kaylie KStaff:We sell replacement gaskets, G.A.T. Stove Top Espresso Maker Replacement Gaskets and Screen (3-, 6-, and 9-Cup) that might work for the Mukka Express. Check the specs and measurements to be sure. Also, from experience I know that this Bialetti needs to be threaded together very carefully for the top and bottom to seat properly. Note: The Mukka Express has been discontinued by Bialetti.Feb 19, 2013
