Jake H asked: Is it possible to get a sense of the size? I realise that 0.8 liter can only be so big, but it would be nice to get a sense of the size when considering if it will fit in my carry on. Oct 4, 2013

Blake V: Hi Jake
I bought the bona voyage travel kettle to use with the areo press while traveling. It has a 4 inch diameter and is 6 inches tall and weighs about 2 pounds. It doesn't take up that much room if you put something inside it , for example I put the areo press inside or other items that would take up space anyway. I have put it in a carry on before and it fits just fine. It heats up water super fast and I like that's its stainless steel. I can't comment on durability because I only use it when I travel and only used it a few dozen times but it apears to be well made. I hope that helps. Blake

della p: It depends on how big your carry on is! I use mine exclusively for travel and tend to put the coffee and filters I take w me in the kettle. Beyond inches, I'd say it's a big hand stretch high and 1.5 hands around--medium woman's hand. Very lightweight. Personally: if I was only taking a carry-on I probably wouldn't be going far or long enough to justify the room in the bag-- Oct 5, 2013

Patrick W: I have one and it is pretty compact. Imagine trying to pack a pound of coffee, or a big thermos -- it's about that size. I typically pack a couple of things inside the kettle when I put it in my suitcase just to make the most use of the space. Things like socks, etc. pack very well into it. Oct 7, 2013

Karen Joy M: It is really about a cup an half . You can stuff clean under ware or a pair of socks in it to conserve space. I love this little pot. I can do my cup of tea and enough for my oat meal stir too. Really does not take up muck more than 2 inches pass the .8 liter size if that. Nov 4, 2013

Carol D: Yeah, it's bigger than a softball and smaller than a football. We regularly fly with ours and a Zass grinder and a Clever. Together that take up the space of maybe two pair of shoes or so.
It would be a downright slim piece if it weren't for the handle.

Patricia M: It's not bigger than a 5 lb bag of sugar., and it definitely weighs less than that. Oct 6, 2013

I love this little kettle. It is extremely fast and is great for a single serving of anything that requires you to boil up some water. I haven't traveled with it yet but plan to. The cord on the kettle isn't too short (approx. 2 feet or so) so it doesn't need to be right up against the counter.

This is just the right size. I use a single cup press pot. so this is enough for coffee and a bit extra for my oat meal.

Small, fast

Great product, very small, fast boiling.

Two areas I would suggest for future improvement. I actually use this for extended business travel. The cord is a bit unwieldy - should have a better system for perhaps wrapping it around the base? I also worry that the plastic top is not BPA free. Every time you pour water out you might be getting a nice dose of chemicals. If it is BPA free they should just advertise it clearly, and if its not then it should be!

Still a great product, I use it daily when traveling and would recommend highly!
