Price Value Quality This is everything I was looking for in an electric kettle. The features and price of this kettle are more than competative, but Bonavita seems to be a rather new company without much of a track record. After doing some research and finding almost all good reviews, I went ahead and puchased it.
It heats very fast due to its 1500 watt rating -- much faster than .than my 1100 watt microwave or electic stove. Setting the temperature is very easy with its six presets and user adjustable degree by degree adjustment. The last temperature you set is remember the next time it's turned it on. The temperature LED readout is easy to see and spot on according to my two thermometers. By pressing the hold button the kettle will hold the water at the set temperature for one hour.
It's attractive on the counter, and comfortable in the hand. The interior is all stainless steal and imparts no taste to the water. The bottom never gets hot, but the side does. I'm using the built in count up timer more and more. The level indicator is easy enough to see in good light. The kettle appears to be well made. I've been using it at least two or three times a day since I got it a month ago for AeroPress and "Cleaver" coffee; and green and black tea.
If this kettle hold up as well as I expect it to, it will have been a great purchase.
