The DeLonghi Esclusivo is a large capacity (70 oz.), programmable drip coffee maker with a special 'Freshness Indicator' that tells you how long the coffee has been standing in the pot.
How the Delonghi DC514T Works
- You can select a longer brew cycle by pushing the 'Aroma Button', which will achieve a full-bodied flavor by advancing through several continuous cycles while water is released into the filter basket in 30-second intervals.
Features & Functionality of the Delonghi DC514T Esclusivo Drip Coffee Maker
- Large Capacity Carafe - The carafe can hold the equivalent of 14 cups of coffee.
- Aroma Button - A special time release brewing option, the Aroma Button will initiate a series of brew cycles, releasing water every 30 seconds. This process saturates grounds a little bit at a time, extracting the fullest flavor and aroma from your coffee.
- Programmable - Set your coffee to brew at some time in the future -- and don't worry, it will automatically shut off after 2 hours.
- Advanced Water Filtration - Special filtration system enhances flavor by removing the taste from chlorinated water.
- Freshness Indicator - Never gulp stale coffee again! The freshness indicator will let you know how long the coffee has been in the pot so you can make a fresh cup -- before you've insulted your senses!
- Permanent Filter - The durable, gold-tone filter is specially designed to keep even incredibly fine coffee grounds in place.

My experience was that the coffe maker only lasted about 6 months
before it stopped brewing all together. Feb 20, 2012

Sorry I cannot tell you the water temp. Apr 2, 2014
The reason I ask is that I recently bought the Cuisinart DCC 1200 for it's capactiry (12-cup). It uses #4 cone filters. When I make a full pot of coffee, the grounds splash everywhere within the machine, including the water reservoir and the charcoal filter well. The innards of this machine look remarkably similar and I don't want to get into the same trouble. Thank you. Jul 5, 2012
As for the capacity, it can make 14 cups. It has an aroma button that increases the amount of time the grounds soak before releasing the coffee. It's made to get the most flavor from your coffee and it works great. However if you chose to use this setting, it perculates so much that it takes longer to brew and you lose maybe 2-3 cups. So if we have company or something where we need a full 14 cups, we just brew it on a regular cycle.
If your looking for a quick cup of coffee this machine won't be what you're looking for, but if you're looking for quality, it measures up perfectly. We use the timer setting, so it brews early enough that it's ready when we need it. So far the only dowfall we've seen is that in the process of getting that great coffee, the machine produces alot of steam. If it's under the cupboards we cover it with a small hand towel to catch most of the moisture, but if its out in the open its just fine.
I hope this helps you make your decision. This is by far the best coffee maker we've ever owned and I would buy it again if I had to. If you can work around the brew time and the steam like we have, you'll find yourself with an amazing cup of coffee. Jul 6, 2012
The filter is a metal mesh and is easily washed out after every pot is made. we like it a lot better than paper filters.
There is not a lof of splashing and after months of use we will find a few grounds on outside of the filter well and coffee-maker lid--nothing in the water reservoir.
~~This coffee maker creates coffee equal to or better than what we can purchase at specialty coffee shops. My daughter and I had the same gourmet coffee in a standard coffee maker and it was good--we used our DeLonghi with the Aroma option and the coffee was great.
Also, we've probably made a pot every day or so since December 2010 and it has worked the same since we pulled it out of the box. Jul 8, 2012

For the Price Its a Good Alternative - but...Review by Atascadero Gal

It seemed as though the box had been previously opened when I got the package. But I was so sick of my Cuisinart puking grounds into the carafe I had to find something different. I hope this is the last one of these machines I have to buy for a long time. The reason I rate the quality the way I do here is that the rubber feet needed to be glued back in and even with that done its not perfectly balanced but it is better than it was when every time I needed to move it forward to pour water into it one of the feet would stay behind. The aroma feature does help to get me up in the morning. Oh and the buttoms seem flimsy, like its not made out of the best quality materials that exist but I guess it was either this or a Mr. Coffee that I really didnt want.

We rent a house in Tx for the winter and this was the coffee pot in there. It is fantastic and will be ordering one as soon as we get back to Iowa where we live when not in Tx. for the winter.

Great Product, Great ServiceReview by Ms. Finnicky

The coffee pot was a bargain compared to similar models of other brands. Nice, sleek, modern look. Shipping was super-fast! I got it less than 24 hours after ordering! Unfortunately, the dimensions listed for the coffee maker are inaccurate. I needed a unit no more than 13 inches high (height listed was 12 3/4 in.), and this one came in at about 14 inches, so doesn't fit under cabinets in my RV. Too bad - had to give it to my daughter 8-(

I had purchased this machine over a year ago and have been completely satisfied..we use 8 ounce mugs and with this one, both of us are able to get our 'fix' easily, it brews quickly and...I don't have to make a second pot every morning:):)
It's held up very well in spite of our extremely hard water unlike other brands I've used.
The product is excellent..will continue to use this brand/style in the future.

Great coffee maker....I probably didn't need one with quite as large a capacity as this has, but it will be nice when company comes. Easy to operate and very stylish to look at. Love that it opens from the front not the back. Coffee tastes great...very flavorful and full bodied.
