Semi-Automatic Espresso Machines
Be your own barista! Semi-automatic espresso machines offer just the right amount of control over how your espresso is made at home. While they may look different, the basic functionality of a semi-automatic espresso machine includes a boiler, a portafilter and a switch or lever to perform the extraction. You’ll still grind and tamp your espresso (or insert an espresso pod), start the extraction and then steam or froth your milk as necessary. Semi-automatic espresso machines fall into two different types:
- Manual Control: On these semi-automatic espresso machines, the shot is initiated and you stop it once you decide the extraction is complete, usually in 20-30 seconds. This offers real-time control over the length of your extractions
- Programmable Doses: These semi-automatic espresso machines allow you to program the extraction to stop after a specific amount of time.
$1,995.00La Spaziale Mini Vivaldi II fills a niche by offering a NSF-rated double boiler with an internal tank. It has the same excellent temperature regulation as the Vivaldi II S1 plumbed version. The Mini is a great fit since not everyone has the option of plumbing in their espresso machine. The Mini Vivaldi II also comes with the upgraded .9mm four-hole tip to help you produce creamy microfoam for your cappuccinos or lattes. What's more, La Spaziale has added a few features to improve the Mini Vivaldi II's appearance and extend its reliability, such as a newly designed stainless-steel cup warmer, a dual solid state relay (in place of the triacs and fan) to lower the overall noise, and rust-resistant screws in the water tank.
