| Tips and Tricks | Run water through the brew head before extracting your first beverage (and to warm your cup!) to make sure your shot is steamy. This process gets pressurized water splattering everywhere but is still recommended, just keep a soft cloth nearby. |

Price Value Quality My wife and I love the y1. This is our first venture into the world of Espresso. We paired this machine with a Capresso FrothPro and the resulting Lattes and Cappuccinos are great. I think these are two of the best purchases I have ever made.
We are really big fans of Illy coffee. This model does not have the automatic shutoff or the programmable volume, but it is very easy to turn the switch on and off for each shot. Illy USA recommends turning the machine off when not in use, rather than leaving it on all day, like I was doing.(Posted on 1/17/13)
