How the Hario Coffee Dripper V60 Works
The pour-over technique allows you to brew directly into your cup or server. While techniques may vary among users, below is an overview of the pour-over's general process.
- Grind your coffee beans and preheat your dripper and vessel
- Set the dripper atop or above your vessel
- Place the appropriate paper or cloth filter into the Hario Coffee Dripper V60
- Add ground coffee depending on your specific taste preferences
- Pour the desired amount of preheated (anywhere from 195° to 205°) water over the coffee grounds, allowing the brewed coffee to drip down into your vessel

Quality product, but..
Review by arborrider -
Quality Value Price Only "con" is the plastic snap on base. Time will tell how many snap on-offs this base will last. Wish Hario would have cast the unit as a single piece like the ceramic units. On the plus side is if you purchase or build a custom holder this dripper would be a nice easy fit.

Easy To Use

Best I Ever Had
Review by David -
Quality Value Price For awhile I used a French Press, but stopped because I was tiring of the thick mouthfeel and messy cleanup. I switched to an Aeropress, but tired of that as well because of the amount of water was always a challenge to guess and I got tired of the uber clean cup it produced. I found the Hario V60 while searching for a new maker and decided on the glass version in white. To me the glass is the best compromise in all the materials Hario offers. The plastic loses heat too fast and the ceramic takes a while to heat up (all while passing water through the filter, mind you). The glass is a happy medium in that by the time you have sufficiently washed out your filter the glass is good and hot. The style of the V60 is great and it remains on my counter with the Buono. I have to say this maker makes the best cup and a good mix between the French Press's thick texture and the Aeropress's clean cup. If poured correctly, a V60 can produce something wonderful and delicious. If you are thinking about buying a V60 do not forget to pick up a Buono kettle and a pack of Hario filters (because V60's just have a big hole in the bottom and regular flat bottom filters will not fit properly). Overall, this coffee maker is stylish, functional, and brews one of the best cups I have ever had.
Pros:
Great Taste, Easy To Clean, Easy To Use, Quick Brewing
