Quality Value Price There is stainless steel and then there is stainless steel. This insulated bottle has the good stuff! I've used another stainless steel travel mug for the past couple of years for my daily trips to the espresso bar. It kept the coffee warm and reduced waste of paper cups. However, I was never really happy with the taste. The coffee always had a metallic taste. Well, let me tell you - the Klean Kanteen uses 18/8 stainless, supposedly a food grade stainless. Whatever it is, my coffee now has no affects on taste - just as advertised. I got the Wide Cafe Cap to go with the 16 oz. Klean Kanteen to allow use of the insulated bottle as a travel mug. The perfect size for a grande-sized espresso drink. Drinking coffee from the bottle has a taste equivalent to a porcelain or ceramic mug. I'm very satisfied. The cap has a simple mechanism to open and close, and is easy to clean. I bought the bottle in black and the level of finish is very high quality.
