Just how does it work? Simply remove the drip tray and there should be a pre-existing hole in the base, attach the funnel and then excess water will drain through a hose into your preferred receptacle. For the older La Spaziale models if you take out the drip tray and there is a 1 1/2 inch hole in the base your machine will also accept the drain kit.
