Middle Fork Roasters
Middle Fork Roasters offers only the freshest high quality roasts available. To meet these standards they pledge the following quality:
Full City Roast: To be considered a 'full-city' roast the bean must be roasted to what typically is called the second crack. This is the point in which the nut inside the bean begins popping, releasing the most aromas and flavors, and at which point the oils inside the bean rise to the surface. This gives the bean a spicy full bodied taste. This technique is generally considered the most difficult as many roasters find themselves with burnt or over developed beans.
Throughout his roasting career, Matt Parrish has perfected this art, as well as developed a secret technique to bringing any roast profile (light or dark) to a full city crack.
After several years of managing and roasting for a successful coffee shop, Matt Parrish decided to make a "break-away" and start his own wholesale beans company. With hard work and seriously good coffee, Middle Fork Roasters was founded in Seattle, Washington, 2009.
Middle Fork Roasters was named after the middle fork of the Snoqualmie River where Matt and his close friends go to enjoy the great outdoors.
