Clean / simple addition to the counter.
Review by Bill P -
Price Value Quality Picked up this knockbox a few weeks ago as a "starter" for my inherited Solis SL-70. Nice stainless steel construction. Rubber base makes for a quite "knock out" for the early morning shots. The rubber sleeve on the removable bar may not hold up well, but it is removable and replaceable.. Worst case - I'd have to cobble something up to fit, but the box itself would remain in great shape. It's the right size for several double shot pucks each day for a week.

Does the job in a minimalist way
Review by JackC -
Quality Price Value Nice, heavy, does the job, though the rubber grommets holding the bar in are not entirely enthusiastic about their job. I have only had the box a few weeks, and anticipate things deteriorating over time, but it beats the heck out of banging the puck out on my cutting board.
I will probably upgrade later, but as a first knock box experience, it isn't at all bad.(Posted on 3/22/13)

Not everything is great
Review by Lee -
Quality Price Value The rubber parts of this knock box (not the base) disintegrated within a year of use. It's made of poor material. Before this became evident I thought it was great but not any more.

A must have to keep things simple and clean!
Review by Great jig for a big family -
Price Value Quality This knock box look very nice and its construction is pretty solid. It allows me to pull shot after shot without going to the garbage and start hitting the side of garbage can until the whole thing comes out. That's when the fun begins... trying to find the basket between pampers, dog food, and old left overs and then I have to use a knives to take the coffee out. This jig make it simple!

Sturdy Knock Box
Review by Mike G -
Quality Value Price The knock box is very sturdy, it stands up well to the daily abuse and doesn't leak. I was concerned that the daily banging might damage the tile on the counter. But the thick rubber pad cushions it well.
Pros:
Easy To Use, Easy To Clean, Commercial Grade
Cons:

Knockout Box
Review by Aaron -
Quality Value Price I was very happy with the quality of this box. Stainless steel all around, very tight seams. Nice quality black rubber, not foam or plastic.
This saves me from going to the sink to dump the puck after every shot. Not a big deal if your machine is next to your sink, but a nicety if your sink is on the other side of the room.
Pros:
Easy To Use, Excellent Quality

Big enough, small enough
Review by The Chief Inspector -
Quality Value Price I have this next to my home espresso area, which is a Gaggia Classic and a Rocky grinder. I make 2-4 espresso drinks a day.
Big enough for daily use (4-8 knockouts/day) without taking too much counter space.
The rubber base is nice; quiets the knock, saves your counter surface, and keeps the box from scooting around.
The bar is easy to remove for cleaning. The grommets won't last, but easy to find at the hardware store and replace (the little spheres on the end of the bar unscrew). The rubber on the bar will probably wear out, but also easy to replace.
The bar is recessed far enough that you won't spill ground on your counter.
This is I expected based on the description.
Pros:
Easy To Use, Easy To Clean

very useful
Review by antonia -
Quality Value Price It is very necessary to have a knock box for your espresso pucks. It makes it easy to get them out of the porta-filter and it keeps the pucks in one place. It looks great on the kitchen counter. It is easy to clean as well. Everything comes apart and reassembles quickly.

Quality Value Price Read the reviews for this and it's mentioned that there is a great way to replace the rubber on the knock bar when it wears out. Mine is still in great shape but I'll keep that in mind.

No knocks on this knock box.
Review by honoliipali -
Quality Value Price What can you say about a knock box? It does what you would expect and does it without making a mess.
I feel this model is the best buy for a stainless steel knock box.
I was given a tip by Dale at SCG regarding the rubber sleeve on the knock bar. My sister has one that the rubber quickly broke off. Dale said to go to your local home improvement store and buy a short length of surgical tubing. They have done so at SCG and it is holding up very well.
Pros:
Easy To Use, Easy To Clean
