Very satisfy
Review by Karim -
Quality Price Value Perfect for my Rocket 58. It took me around 1 pound of grinding to find the perfect adjustement. It's funny because now I have better shots even compare to the restaurant that sell me the beans!!
Very great grinder (I went in a restaurant that was having the same). Personaly I chosen the B model to keep the old look vs the A that have a digital screen.
I found that the machine don't stay clean very long as the grinded coffee has the tendency to stick a bit everywhere in the front of the machine.
Very nice look and very good machine, will recommend big time.(Posted on 2/23/13)

64mm burrs in a tank
Review by Grant -
Quality Price Value An amazing case, 64mm burrs, and mazzer's reputation is in top form with this grinder. Dr who is coming on now, so if you're reading this, just buy this grinder. it's for some reason cheaper in "rocket" branding, so thats every reason to get it.

Build Quality is Everything
Review by Grant -
Price Value Quality I was having some issues with another espresso grinder, mostly due to wear on internal plastic parts. This grinder has surely resolved that issue. It is built and has warnings for commercial use. My home use wont be any problem for this tiny beast to handle.
Once the dosing is adjusted, this thing really helps with my routine. Very well thought out design, and I love the 64mm burrs, they produce a great, complex cup.(Posted on 1/8/13)

Rocket Mazzer Mini Electronic - Type A
Review by Michael -
Price Value Quality I purchased the Rocket Mazzer Mini Electronic Type A after weeks of waiting for SCG to get the item back in stock. The grinder arrived in near-perfect condition, with a minor slice in the electrical cord near where it exits the base of the machine. It doesn’t seem to be an issue yet. I’ll update if it becomes an issue.
I was a bit curious when I received the grinder, as the box is sealed with Mazzer tape on the top and bottom of the box, but the tape on the top had been sliced open. The flaps were stapled shut with heavy brass staples and then taped over with clear packaging tape. Aside from this curiosity, the box contents appeared to be complete. I’m not sure if this is normal or not.
To my surprise, the grinder has an electronic dose counter that counts up by “1” when the single dose is pressed and by “2 when the double button is pressed. There is no way to reset the counter to zero. I have even asked SCG staff on this. I find this unfortunate, because it would be nice to reset the counter when I clean the machine or replace the burrs, or just because I want to at this price level. After set-up and calibrating the grind times by weight, I hit 18 doses on the counter. Pressing the manual button does not increase the counter.
The machine is well-built, and robust, with only one complaint. There is an access panel behind the dispensing funnel that feels to be made out of a lower-grade stainless, or some sort of plastic. I can’t really tell, but it’s just a minor point. It is heavy, stable, and looks lovely on the counter.
I purchased the shorter hopper with the grinder and when I take the lid off, I can slide the grinder under the cabinets in my kitchen. The gate valve seems kind of junky, and if difficult to close when loaded with beans. The shorter hopper came with a gate valve of its own, but no lid. The lid for the standard hopper fits.
If you are the type of person that weighs beans before you grind, you will have to change your ways with the Mazzer Type A. This grinder does not have an auger, as some other more advanced Mazzers do, so feeding the machine a dosed amount of beans will result in the “popcorn effect,” beans bouncing up and down out of the burrs and not getting ground. You will need to fill the hopper 25-50% to avoid this.
Note that the grinder has a set screw installed to limit the range of the grind adjustment. If you intend to grind for espresso and drip, you will need to remove this screw. SCG doesn’t recommend this, and I have yet to try it. With the set screw installed, I can get a pretty close grind for Hario pour-over at the coarsest setting and also please my espresso machine.
Overall the Mazzer Mini Electronic Type A is a great machine. It’s unfortunate that the price on SCG dropped significantly (11%) only a couple of weeks after I purchased it, but that’s the name of the game. I removed one star from the "Price" for this reason.(Posted on 12/30/12)

Rocket Mazzer Mini P Electronic Doserles
Review by Happy Coffee Guy -
Quality Value Price I've been using this grinder for about two months (Nov '11). Let me address the "quiet" check mark in the pro column. I've owned one other burr grinder and use a different make/model at work. "Quiet" in this instance is a relative term. This grinder is significantly less noisy than the other two models I have experience with.
Prior to purchase, I was concerned that it might take a lot of effort to switch between drip and espresso grind. It's actually pretty straight forward. The lever on the adjustment wheel makes all the difference as making the adjustment changes without it would be quite difficult.
I was tempted to check the "messy" box in the cons area. I think it's just the nature of ground coffee to try and escape. Fortunately, there is a "catcher" tray that collects the majority of the wayward grounds and it is easily removed for cleaning.
Despite having the smaller hopper, this unit is still an inch or so taller than the space between my counter top and the cabinets above. In the end, I found a very nice three drawer kitchen unit at Ikea that holds everything coffee. Speaking of the hopper, I really like the ability to close off the hopper feeding beans to the grinder. My sweetie prefers decaf and being able to easily switch between regular and decaf is a real benefit.
Pros:
Quiet, Easy To Use, Commercial Grade, Easily Adjusted, Easy To Clean
Cons:
Tall(Posted on 11/6/11)
