One characteristic that took getting used to is that it takes much (much) longer to grind the same amount that an electric grinder would take. An electric grinder might do the job in 10 or 15 seconds that would take a minute or two by hand. But it's worth it!! Sep 13, 2013

Great espresso grinderReview by Michael

I bought this grinder to use with my espresso machine in the trailer. It always works even when we don't have electricity. Dialling in the grind is very easy and it will grind from cowboy coffee to Turkish. It makes great espresso probably because it grinds at a lower speed and temperature. It's better than a cheap electric grinder for someone just starting out in the home espresso world.

Excellent Turkish Coffee grinderReview by infinitipearl

Decided I wanted to do the turkish coffee thing. Got a high end cezve from instanbul. Wanted a proper grinder to match. This is the real deal - at first I wasn't getting a good grind (too course), then realized all I had to do was use the included crank to adjust it to Turkish grind. Man does it work well. Now I've got great Turkish coffee. A cevze (ibrik) of copper is extremely important imho, but a grinder is the entire key to a proper turkish brew. Takes a little bit of elbow grease when you grinding this finely (I've read so fine you should be able to put your fingerprint in the grinds), but it's not unwieldy, and you don't need too many beans for a small number of servings. Make sure you don't get the grinder wet, particularly the parts on the inside, and shake out the grinds to keep any buildup of rancid oils. Overall - Highly recommended.

Recently bought the hand grinder and love it. It grind coffee well. There are no big chunks as with other grinders.
So I would recommend for occasional coffee drinker.
