Capresso brings some of the same high-quality functionality and impressive features that make its Super-Automatic espresso machines so popular in this easy-brew CoffeeTEAM TS model. With an integrated burr grinder, thermal stainless-steel carafe, coffee bean hopper and large water capacity, the CoffeeTEAM TS is unbelievably powerful for its diminutive size and reasonable price point. Throw in the fully programmable features and modern design and you have a dream machine.
How the CapressoTEAM TS Works
Add your beans, adjust your grind, and brew.
Features & Functionality of the Capresso CoffeeTEAM TS
Aroma Matters: The coffee bean grinder features five settings, so you can control the flavor profile of every cup you make.
Get With the Program: Set this machine to automatically grind and brew on a time, select the quantity of grounds and amount of water to control flavor, and do it all from the easy-to-read LCD screen.
Save Your Counterspace!: The small footprint of this machine belies the large capacity that it is capable of brewing.
Back to the Grind: The slow grind conical, stainless steel burr grinder minimizes heat during the grind to preserve the flavor of your beans. The innovative direct feed technology keeps the filter in place during the grind, and the large clear hopper holds up to 6ounces of coffee beans.
Feed the Habit: With a 10-cup (47 ounce) brew capacity in addition to the large bean hopper, this machine also includes sensors that stop the drip from happening when you remove the carafe mid-brew for serving.
Flavor Filter: With a range of filter options ranging from the included gold-tone or charcoal filters to standard paper filters, you have control over the filter quality and — ultimately — the flavor of your brew. Programming also indicates when the charcoal filter, which removes up to 82% of chlorine and other impurities from tap water, needs to be changed.
Sturdy Thermal Carafe - Unlike a glass carafe, this stainless steel carafe is sturdy and thermal.
Adjustment Options - You have the option to adjust the amount of coffee ground, allowing for a much stronger brew.
Easy to Use - A simple, intuitive interface for brewing or scheduling a grind and brew makes this model easy to operate.
Large Bean Hopper - Holds enough coffee beans for several brews with the large bean hopper.
Loud Grinder - Some users may dislike the loudness of the CoffeeTEAM TS's grinder.
Ease of Use
Overall Value for the Money
How Does it Compare?
The CoffeeTEAM TS is slightly smaller than the Breville YouBrew for users who have less counter space.
Clogged direct feed Shute on capresso coffee team ts brewer?

Best Answer:If you've got a clog, I would suggest trying to clean out the grinder and that chute to the best of your ability. You can do this by taking out as much beans as you can, then use a vacuum to vacuum out the grinder where the beans feed down, and as far into the grinder as you can go. Next, open up the chamber where the grounds dispense, and vacuum this too. Finally, take an air compressor to both of those areas too, and hopefully you can get it to clear!
If you still can't get the clog to clear, you'll need to contact Capresso, as we are not an authorized repair center. They can be reached at: 800-767-3554.
Best Answer:When I first got my TS I measured the brew temp w/an instant read thermometer and it indicated 185f....not anywhere near the ideal temp of ~200f. I generally have been less than impressed with it overall and now 18 months later I am back to my single cup pour over. Slow and tedious but a good cup. Still searching for a good machine to do the job.

Very unhappy overpriced for poor qualityReview by cookie
This coffee maker was given some decent reviews and I wanted that "fresh cup" taste along with a thermal carafe. Well, the carafe does not keep the coffee hot unless you put boiling hot water in it for a while, dump it out and then quickly grind and brew your pot.
The grinder will poop out fast. If you have this coffee maker for more than a year you are lucky.. my two sisters had theirs for under a year and they both broke (grinder)
Very disappointed. If a rock or stone is in the coffee beans (sometimes that happens) then your machine is a goner. (Posted on 6/5/2015)

Worked well when it worked. Grinder was actually more quiet than previous quisenart (Posted on 2/11/2015)
Flaws quicklly become evident.Review by Greg
Look elsewhere for a grind and brew. Coffee grounds do not get fully wet, wasting Coffee. Coffee gets cold too fast. Oily beans clog the grind chute. Grinder sounds like a freight train in the AM. About a tbsp. or two stays in the bottom of the carafe. (Posted on 1/1/2015)
Disposable Coffee MakerReview by Ad F.
I bought this unit a year and a half ago, as a Christmas gift for my wife and I - we love our morning coffee. The conical burr grinder is awesome. The programmable timer was a great feature for having our coffee ready in the mornings. Right from the start, we noticed that the steel carafe does NOT keep your coffee hot, and by the time you go for your next cup half hour later or so, you notice the coffee is luke warm. We learned that the carafe needs to be filled with steaming hot water first, left to stand, then poured out just before you return it to the coffeemaker to make your coffee. The coffee maker has a heating pod in the base but this is non-functioning on the steel carafe model, only works on the glass carage model. The steel carafe has a large thick rim which makes it near impossible to pour out all the coffee, or to even wash the unit properly. The coffee maker was very pricey, but the built-in burr grinder was a huge selling point. And while the unit worked, the coffee was very tasty. Recently, the unit stopped making coffee, instead it just produced a tonne of steam that leaked from every crevice. I called Capresso Canada and the advisor told me it would have to be repaired at their facility. I drove into the city on a day off and dropped it off. The technician advised that these units CANNOT BE REPAIRED since they are sealed units, making it impossible to open the unit to repair or service any parts... This $300 coffee maker is essentially a "disposable" appliance once it stops working. The Tech advised that they don't even carry parts for it since "it can't be opened up" to repair. The problem with mine could be as simple as a loose hose or fitting, but we'll never know because the entire plastic housing is fused and sealed shut! I now have a $300 conical burr grinder (until that stops working eventually...) The sales adviser at Capresso Canada was quick to tell me that she would give me a $50 credit towards buying a NEW one at their store (located inside Capresso Canada office). I explained that this would still cost me $250 factoring in tax!!! The warranty in the USA for the exact same unit is 2 years, so my unit would have been replaced with a new unit, but in Canada it's only a one year warranty, so I'm out of luck. SAVE YOUR MONEY, DO NOT BUY THIS OVERPRICED "Disposable" coffee maker... I just bought a Cuisinart Brew Central DCC-2600 rated Best Coffee Maker of 2014 for $79 on sale at Best Buy, and it has a THREE YEAR CANADIAN WARRANTY! (Posted on 7/24/2014)
Exactly what we were looking for!Review by Wheelbarro
We have used this coffee maker everyday for over two years now and it is time to replace due to several issues…
Leaking water, not grinding properly and grounds overflowing from basket.
When it is working properly it makes a perfect cup of coffee EVERYTIME!
Originally we purchased a Cuisinart and immediately returned it because it couldn't make coffee strong enough to our liking.
I am reluctant to purchase another CapressoTWTS because of the other reviews. We also had some of the same issues. However, it never let us down on the actual end result…that all important morning cup of coffee! So I will probably order another one exactly like our old one.

Lasts for about a year ;-(Review by Nancyb
Had to stop using the grinder after about 6 months, beans would get stuck, etc. Now, at the one year mark of just using the brewer, the thing won't even start!! Lights go on, then turn off, I need a new coffee maker!! Also, another reviewer is completely on target as far as lining up the pot, if the top isn't on PERFECTLY, it overflows, actually, on a fairly regular basis!

You willl need a microwave to reheat coffeeReview by Don't bother...
So, I really don't have much good to say about this maker. The coffee doesn't stay warm. I called and they told me I need to make a full pot to get the pot hot. It's not designed for a few cups. Ugh,,, waste of money. (Posted on 12/5/2013)
Pass on this unitReview by Peter Ehrmanntraut
I wanted to get a deluxe coffee maker than the usual cheap Mr Coffee types so I ordered up first a 10-cup Saeco unit with built-in grinder and thermal carafe and could not get it to brew strong enough and coffee was getting stuck in the chute so I returned it and got this Capresso with thermal carafe and built-in grinder instead. Bottom line it was even worse than the Saeco. At the finest grind setting the grounds looked shredded like pipe tobacco. I could not get a decent tasting cup of coffee and it was even weaker than the Saeco. So I called Capresso factory service, told them about the grounds and they informed me that was normal and it would not improve if I had my unit serviced or replaced. Now I'm back to using a cheap Cusinart thermal unit and outboard grinder. I heat up water using an temperature settable electric kettle and pour into a gold tone filter in the Cusinart. I control the grind fineness, coffee strength and amount of water and the coffee tastes great. (Posted on 8/8/2013)
Still Needs Some Work Capresso!Review by Geof
We've had this coffee maker for about 2 years now, overall it does make good coffee and the electronics work reliably. Three consistent issues would prevent me from recommending this coffee maker, the Burr Grinder can't handle oily beans period. The slightest oil coating on the beans and they won't feed into the grinder, they just slide around. You end up with very weak colored water every time, change the beans and she works perfectly. The other problem is the drip spout has to be aligned with the carafe inlet perfectly or she overflows. It's happened several times when we didn't get the carafe just right under the drip outlet. Our kitchen is a long way from the master bedroom but I can still use the grinder's wall penetrating noise to get me up in the morning. (Posted on 6/16/2013)
Great PotReview by cw
I bought this maker for our condo in Florida. We had been using a Jura ENA5 and wanted another good maker for when we visit our condo. Even though it is a fraction of the cost of the Jura we are very happy with this maker and like that we can take the pot out on the balcony for our morning cup of coffee and enjoy the view. I was also drawn to this maker because it is made by Jura- which I think is the most quality coffee maker I have ever known. You won't be sorry if you buy it- makes a great cup and is a breeze to clean. (Posted on 2/22/2013)
Good Coffee -Display too bright in dark roomReview by Doug
Got this coffee maker as gift from my wife. Makes really good coffee. Grinder ok but old ground coffee sits in the shoot and is used the next day so old.
Display has no lighting control always bright. So in dark kitchen lights up the whole room and any adjacent rooms
Controls for coffee are good as strength of coffee timer etc. (Posted on 8/7/2012)
Great Automatic Drip BrewerReview by Richard
I've owned this model for close to a year and a half and use it daily. It makes a great cup of coffee for me. It took a few pots to get the strength right, but the maker offers a lot of programmability of how much coffee it grinds, the size of the grind, etc.
As the other review stated, the grinder is very loud. If others in your house are still sleeping it might be a problem.
The only thing I dislike is all the plastic components. I would prefer to pay more for a machine that was primarily metal. (Posted on 6/25/2012)
Great Coffee Maker with GrinderReview by Bucho
I love this coffee brewer. My wife loves the fact that there aren't coffee grounds all over the counter anymore and the coffee is very good. The only drawback is that the grinder is very, very loud. Other than that, it is a great machine. I set the grinder level higher than it calls for (6 for 4 cups of water) and that makes the coffee the right strength for me. The coffee could be a tad bit hotter, but it is still fine, just not as hot as the Technovorim.
