The Capresso Cool Grind is designed to grind spices and herbs for your culinary pursuits. Ever wanted to try your own flavored coffee? The stainless steel blades make short work of roasted hazelnuts, cardamom pods, cinnamon or nutmeg. Add this finely chopped flavor to your favorite coffee brew method for a bold take on a classic cup of java.

Features and Functionality

  • Steel Components - Stainless steel blade and beaker for low heat build-up and easy cleaning
  • - Low heat build up preserves more flavor and aroma from your favorite spices
  • Quick Pulse - Fast stopping action (only one second) for maximum safety
  • Storage - Recessed cord storage in base of grinder
  • Ease - Seriously, it does not get easier than this.
  • Value - A great option with basic functionality.
  • Multitask - This grinder makes short order of almost any herb or spice. Just remember to clean well between uses!
  • Poor Beans - We can't really recommend a blade grinder for grinding coffee, the lack of consistency and tendency to shatter beans makes for a messy, poorly extracted cup in any brew method.

Would this work for the clever dripper? I see many people suggest a medium coarse? Eventually would like to move to the Hario, but wanted to learn with the Clevar and get the technique down first.

Best blade grinderReview by Cary
While this may not quite compare to a good burr grinder, it's pretty close. I've had mine now for about 9 years, and it's held up well. It's hopper holds enough for about 2 days worth of coffee for one coffee drinker (that's me!), so I grind about every other day. I have had no problems with the cord as another reviewer has--but I'm a fanatic about wrapping it up properly. For $XX, this can't be beat by any other blade grinder, and it does as well as most burr grinders at a lot less cost. (Posted on 8/27/2015)
design problemReview by j.andersson
I like this grinder a lot.. it is reasonable and offers an even grind, but it has a design flaw that has not been corrected. After two consecutive grinders, I am tired of how the A/C cord poorly wraps for storage. Eventually the plastic and then exposed copper wire break down and the grinder become inoperable.

maybe looking at the manual grinders for now... or another reasonable option. (Posted on 8/12/2012)
Not a good Spice GrinderReview by El Toro Aburrido
I bought this grinder to prepare different spices, for example, when I cook Indian and I prepare the garam masala spice mix. The grinder fails to grind smaller spices like fenugreek seeds or cumin seeds.

Easy To Clean, Looks good in the kitchen

Cannot grind small spices (Posted on 4/4/2012)
Good for the Daily GrindReview by KoHoSo
I like this grinder a lot. Of most note is the much larger reservoir it has for beans than similarly-priced models (good for people like me that often serve to multiple people). The blades seem to turn slower than other models of this type that I have owned but I look at that as a very good thing -- makes it much easier to get the type of grind one wants. For this style of grinder, I would definitely recommend it to others even with my one complaint that the power cord is too short (and I don't care what this or any company says about that regarding safety, it's only so they can make a little more money).

Easy To Use, Large cup

Short Power Cord (Posted on 12/16/2011)
