Best Answer:I use the Breville Milk Cafe. I have been vegan for 40 years. I use the Breville Milk Cafe virtually everyday, for a couple of years now I think, It works like a charm with soy. It makes great chai tea lattes as well. I have used coconut milk, oat milk and hemp milk, probably others too. Soy and hemp work the best, but the others are ok. It does a much better job than the wand on my espresso machine used to do before the wand broke, and with less hassle. Highly recommended.
If you are asking if it works, i.e. no jams or clogs with soy milk then yes, it works fine. If you are asking, however, if there is a nice froth on top well, that's a different story. There is some froth but not obviously as much as "cow's milk" due to the differing content. It's a very good frother and I highly recommend it!
Does the froth plus have any teflon pieces and how hot does the milk get?
A shopper on May 4, 2013
Best Answer:Appears to have no teflon, but that is a manufacturing question. Milk seems to be adequately hot enough, but cannot comment on the actual temperature. The clear pitcher is the problem with the Froth Plus. It cracks, little hairline ones on the pitcher itself, or along the bottom seam where the pitcher attaches to the bottom. We replaced our pitcher 3 times, and they always cracked. So, we went for the Froth PRO, which has a different pitcher and has no leaking/cracking problems. The pitchers are interchangeable with the bases, so we just bought a replacement pitcher for the Froth PRO, and used it on the base of the Froth PLUS.
I am fairly certain that the base is teflon coated. We use the "warm" setting for milk. I am afraid that the "hot" setting might actually turn milk sour. Also, I wish the minimum level was less. For me the recommend minimum level is enough for at least 2 big mugs of coffee. The heated milk that sits while I drink my coffee is not very appealing.
What is the minimum capacity of milk you can froth? I usually use about 1/4 cup half and half in my coffee I am tired of using my hand held device as it is unreliable and I have to heat my milk separately first. I have been looking at your Froth Plus in Bed Bath & Beyond lately. My only concern is will it be able to froth an amount as small as 1/4 cup and will half and half make it a good thick foam as I like cappuccino foam better than latte style. THANKS for your help.
Best Answer:Yes, 1/4 cup works fine. Yes, half and half makes excellent, thick foam. I've used mine 2-3x/week for 1.5 years with no issues. It's excellent! I recommend with neither hesitation nor reservation.

Love my frothing machine. I can multi talk while making my morning latte now. It is so easy , and I love the velvet foam!Review by Mon
I love my Capresso frother. It makes perfect foam for a cappachino. I am not sure how to get a little less foam and a little more milk, while making the milk and froth hot enough for my morning latte. Making lattes now is much less labor intensive. (Posted on 8/3/2014)

Spend the extra cash and get one of the Nespresso frothers. They are far superior, they make better foam (nice and thick microfoam) and they are a high quality machine. (Posted on 3/20/2014)
Love it!Review by JK
I'll use a new kitchen gadget only if it is fun to use, easy to clean and produces good results. This milk frother does all three, plus it is relatively compact and doesn't take up too much precious counter space. Works great for hot chocolate, too. (Posted on 1/9/2014)
