A medium dark roast with plenty of visible oils, this coffee has also been described as rich, earthy and grassy with smoky aromas. Is Middle Fork Roasters Tough as Nails ok for Breville Oracle?
Sam W on Jan 27, 2016
Best Answer: They are pretty oily beans so we wouldn't recommend them, however, you are able to get into the burrs so if you're up for frequent cleaning of the grinder then these should be alright

Packs a punch; tastes amazingReview by Early Riser
This coffee has been an instant hit at our office consisting of a dozen early risers (with night owl tendencies). We've been utilizing our French press for the few months and everyone's been taking turns bring in their favorite, fresh ground coffees. Let's just say that after Tough As Nails was brought in 3 weeks ago, we haven't switched for a reason. Strong, bold, balanced, and as highly recommended as they come. Not quite at the same price point as the larger coffee makers, but as expected being a smaller company. (Posted on 10/7/2014)

Absolutely Excellent!Review by Halevib
I've been a coffee connoisseur for years. From small batch single origin boutique roasters, to the heavy hitters in the industry. I've had coffees from all over the world and typically lean towards east Africa and Indonesia - but this has to be one of the best if not the best dark roast I've ever had.

Beans are dark and oily. They grind well, but tend to stick in the hopper of my burr grinder more than other beans I usually enjoy (I'm sure due to their oiliness). This blend smells great in the bag, and after grinding.

It does not seem syrupy to me, and the roaster describes. But it is very dark, smooth, and has no bitterness. It's flavor is complex and satisfying. I could drink it at any time and it pairs well with deserts and cigars. This coffee is quickly becoming one of my all time favorites.

The only thing that could ruin a cup of Tough as Nails would be if you added sugar or creamer to cover up it's exceptional taste and smoothness! (Posted on 5/10/2014)

Truly an Espresso BlendReview by The Countess of Cheshire
This is best when used for espressos as it was originally intended. I tried it in my Technivorn MM and it wasn't as flavorful.

Great Taste

Seriously GoodReview by RLB coffee lover
Awesome coffee! Honestly it well done. Well balance and deep complexion, bold but not bitter. Hard to find better. Also it has the date the coffee was roasted, (I wish this was required to be on all coffee bags). It was great in french press, espresso, and even drip. It really came to life in the press and espresso though! Enjoy!

Great Taste
