The innovative Saeco Intenza+ technology reduces limescale build-up for longer machine life, optimized brewing pressure and consistent temperature. Individual adjustment of the unique Intenza+ Aroma System allows performance tailored to your water type and gives you freshly filtered water on demand. Tips and Tricks
For best results change filters every two to three months.
Product Weight (lbs.)
The Saeco Intenza+ Water Filter uses an activated carbon and other filtration methods to filter out limescale, chlorine and other unwanted impurities.
I looked online for this filter just price shopping and noticed it said refillable on several sites. Is this the whole filter or is the housing so you can change the filter as recommended without having to by the house again? Either is ok. I have an Intelia SuperAuto. Just bought it from you guys, my second machine to purchase through you. AWESOME!!!!
Best Answer:That's the entire filter. Just remove the old one from your water tank and pop in a new one. Watch to make sure the rubber ring on the bottom of the filter doesn't "roll" and come out of place. Usually twisting it gently will keep the rubber seal right where it should be.
Best Answer:Typically you'll want to change your Intenza water filter every three months, but that will depend on how hard your water is. For harder water, you'll want to change it more frequently, and for softer water you will be able to change it less frequently.
Yes, you will still need to change it with bottled water, albeit, much less frequently. Eventually, the carbons that are in the filter will eventually be drained and so you'll just have a useless filter in there. Although, if you're using bottled water only, you would not really need a filter at all. At that point you are double filtering your water which can actually be harmful for your machine as the water may begin to go into reverse osmosis (meaning it starts pulling minerals from your boiler) Water likes/needs SOME minerals, so choose one or the other, not both.
Best Answer:You may want to test your water in order to determine hardness and if an Intenza filter is necessary. If your water is relatively soft and you are also filtering it, then it is likely unnecessary to also use an Intenza.
Best Answer:You don't have to use an Intenza water filter with the Poemia, however it is recommended if you have hard water. The Intenza filter should be replaced about every 2-3 months and will help remove scale in your water.
For the past year that we have owned our Saeco Syntia we have always had an Intenza water filter in use and we fill the water tank with filtered water from our Brita pitcher. Since we use filtered water all the time, is it really necessary to also use the Intenza water filter?
I have 2 Incanto Deluxe machines. I came with an aqua prima and the other with the Intenza. The Intenza machine told me to remove the cone-shaped filter in the water tank before installing the Intenza. The tanks are identical and the Intenza worked fine. I'd like to confirm that this filter will work as a replacement for the aqua prima, as long as I remove the small cone shaped filter. Can you confirm?
The water in Arizona is hard. Having the filter installed helps with the taste. (Posted on 12/29/2013)

Consistent Coffee QualityReview by Al
Not sure why this filter costs so much, but it's worth it none the less. I get no better cup of coffee anywhere than at home - and that includes Italy, France or Spain.
I recommend this product. Just wish it were less expensive. (Posted on 6/15/2013)
