Product Description

Velton's Bonsai Blend UNROASTED Espresso is produced by a small roastery focused on quality control at every turn. Only the highest quality beans are considered. All of Velton's coffee is hand blended, and promptly packaged in the highest quality bags to ensure maximum freshness.

This is the green, un-roasted coffee bean version of Velton's popular Bonsai Blend. It's ready for roasting and packed in an expandable bag that can also hold the larger post-roast coffee beans.

Caramel and chocolate flavors give the Bonsai Blend a lingering sweetness that's perfectly wonderful in shots -- or in your favorite espresso beverage!

How Does it Compare?

Velton's Bonsai Blend green bean espresso offers the chance to roast your own. It is a rich and smooth espresso blend.

How long can unroasted beans be stored and still remain in optimum condition? How about just useable condition in a long term food storage preparation?
A shopper on Oct 19, 2016
Best Answer: Green beans are much more shelf table than roasted beans, and general wisdom says they should be perfectly useable for up to 2 years if stored in a cool, dry place. Some roasters will even age their beans in oak casks for more distinct flavors! I think 'optimum condition' is likely up to you to personal preference.

Hope this helps!

Why is this the same price as the roasted version? Even aside from the fact that the beans lose weight during roasting, green beans are generally considerably cheaper than roasted beans.
A shopper on Jul 8, 2012
Best Answer: The reason Velton's green beans are the same price as the roasted is because they are a special order item and sold in smaller quantities, not in bulk as most green beans tend to be.
