Description About Espresso Republic - Ethiopia Worka Banko GotitiComing to us from the prestigious Worka cooperative in Ethiopia, Banko Gotiti is a wonderful mild natural that offers just enough complexity for your morning cup of coffee. Notes of tangerine give this coffee a citrus front with smooth macadamia nut and agave notes on the back end of the palate. We find this to be a deliciously drinkable roast that will please natural and non natural fans alike. Delicious as a pour over and very aromatic, this roast will offer a flatter profile if brewed in a traditional drip brewer.

Recommended Brew Methods
A 2:1 water-to-coffee ratio for your espresso shot is recommended. Using a scale to dial in your shots makes the process faster and more accurate. Your espresso grind should be very fine and powdery. Shots should take 30-40 seconds to brew and be thick and syrupy. Don’t stress, adjustments are always needed to get your shots pulling just right!
We recommend a 16:1 water to coffee ratio for your dosing. Use a scale for best results! For pour over, use a medium-coarse grind size somewhere between drip and press levels. Start with a short pour to wet the grounds and “bloom” the coffee for 30 seconds, followed by two more pours, divided in half to reach the appropriate remaining ratio of water to coffee.
