Are you selling the Espro Toroid 2 Stainless Steel Frothing Pitcher or the older version? I'm looking for the Espro Toroid 2 in a 12 ounce size.
Robert S on Jun 4, 2014
Best Answer: I believe we have what you're looking for but I can't say for certain! The version of the Espro Toroid Frothing Pitcher we offer is the version shown in the photo and has been updated. The previous version had a round handle, but the newer version has a handle with a squared off top and bottom. Though our supply on hand is new from Espro, this pitcher does not have mention of "Toroid 2" on the packaging. Hope this info helps you!

12 Oz too smallReview by CyclistBarista
I have a toroidal shape pitcher and love the way it creates micro-foam, but decided I needed another one for tapping out more latte's on my Rocket machine. I did not want a large pitcher because I do not use that much milk, so I ordered the 12 oz. I liked the fit and finish and the shape, but it was really too small, allowing for enough milk and for the milk to expand while frothing. There's not much room when the frothing arm in inserted, probably less than 6 oz. of milk can really be used. So I sent it back and ordered the larger 25 oz pitcher (they were out of the 20 oz). SCG did the return no problem and were very helpful with regards to general guidelines about pitcher size. (Posted on 10/9/2017)
Love This Frothing Pitcher!Review by espressoluv
I recently purchased this Espro Toroid pitcher in the 20oz size for making lattes and cappuccinos. After using the standard shaped pitcher for several years I thought this new one would take some practice to achieve a good outcome. I was very surprised to see that after my first use, this pitcher created wonderful frothed milk with little to no big bubbles. I hedged for a while about buying this one due to the higher price tag but it's like graduating up to the Porsche of frothing pitchers! I'm very happy with this purchase and SCG delivered my order in just 2 days! If you're tired of trying and failing to find the "sweet spot" while steaming milk, the Espro makes it so much easier! Recommended!! (Posted on 5/2/2017)
Works as advertised, however...Review by Craigo
First, I'd like to say it does froth the milk extremely well and I'm sure the toroidal shape has a lot to do with that. The pitcher has an elegant overall shape and is now nicely polished. The measurement marks, visible both inside and out, are a thoughtful feature that allow for more easily repeatable results.

When this pitcher first came out, it had a different handle; somewhat elliptical in shape. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Espro modified the handle in this latest incarnation. I have another pitcher that has a handle shaped much like the new Espro design, and experience has taught me that it's a good ergonomic design. To my mind, the original seemed like it might be cramped for larger hands, and would also place the back side of fingers too close to hot steel. For those reasons, I didn't purchase the original pitcher. That said, when I removed my pitcher from the box and held it for the first time, I was disappointed with the feel in my hand. Not because of the shape, which is fine, but rather because the inside edges had not been sufficiently deburred. No, it wasn't going to cut my fingers, but the edges were somewhat sharp and felt rough against even my calloused fingers. This was easily remedied by using some 400 and 600 grit sandpaper. Still, that should not be the job of the customer to complete. Espro needs to address this quality issue in their manufacturing process. I also felt they scrimped by using a fairly thin gauge steel for the handle. The handle on my other less expensive frothing pitcher is more than twice as thick, and feels noticeably better in hand.

This current pitcher is I'm sure an improvement over the original, but there still remains room for further product improvement. With a thicker properly deburred and polished handle, it gets 5 stars in quality. (Posted on 5/5/2014)
Excellent frothing pitcherReview by Moochiegirl98
The shape of this pitcher makes really nice micro-foam in a very simplistic way. The graduated measurement markings on the interior make it easier to dose your milk/cream. This 20-oz. size is perfect for making two small cappuccinos or a large one. So glad we listened to the advice of a friend and bought this one! (Posted on 4/19/2014)
