Hario Olive Wood Double Walled Coffee Press
Overview
Coffee, hot water, steep and press - the most natural and simplistic way to brew a delicious cup of joe. For the natural way to brew coffee, Hario has added a little bit of nature into their version of the French press with their Olive Wood Double Walled Coffee Press. Designed with style in mind, Hario constructed this contemporary coffee press with all natural olive wood and leather for a press like no other. Never forgetting that function always trumps style, Hario thoughtfully constructed the body of the press with durable, heatproof, double walled glass and the filter base, mesh and holder out of lasting stainless steel. Furthering the simplicity, Hario made the olive wood handle and leather strap removable so you can easily clean the glass body in the dishwasher. Effortlessly unscrew the stainless steel filter, base and mesh to rinse clean and screw back on for another day's brew.

How Does it Compare? | Hario suggests this press yields approximately 400mL. However in SCG testing, we used approximately 5 tablespoons of ground coffee and filled with hot water to the bottom of the wood handle (as suggested by Hario). This ratio yielded approximately 450mL (14 ounces) of freshly brewed coffee. |
Tips and Tricks | All of the wooden parts are made from natural olive wood. To keep your wood components in pristine condition, never soak the olive wood in water and always wipe clean after each use. |
