Large Hopper - Super large hopper holds 2.7 pounds of beans.
Large Size - With large quantities and output comes a huge footprint. This is not a machine that can be tucked under a counter.

I'm considering buying the Mazzer Super Jolly for my coffee shop, but am wondering about the timer mechanism. Do you have to use the timer or can you control when the machine stops grinding manually? thanks
Best Answer:The machine can be stopped manually by turning the timer knob counter-clockwise to off. The timer is good in that it prevents the grinder from continuing to run for long periods of time unobserved.
I finally gave up on two smaller grinders (one much more expensive than the Super Jolly, one about the same price, that I used for decaf. The pricy one started jamming up almost as soon as I got it; the other worked fine for about a year (of not very heavy use) before something in its electronic regulation system gave way so that the burrs cannot be adjusted beyond the point where they grind against each other. I may still try to repair the latter at least as a spare, but am glad I ordered another Super Jolly and now have two going. I can't praise this machine enough. It is a model of solid construction and reliability. As with the one I bought almost a year ago, I will see how the timer switch holds up, but so far that one has done fine. (Posted on 7/22/2014)
Good Grinder!Review by Lisianski
I am glad to have this good old workhorse on my kitchen counter again! I had one for a good dozen years, but finally gave it away to someone who wanted to replace the burrs and go on using it, because of a move. I figured I could get by with a smaller grinder, and a couple of years bought a very expensive German model, which has proved so unreliable that it has been demoted to standby decaf grinder - the last stop before the reycle bin. I never had any trouble with my old Super Jolly, and this one has the same quiet operation and consistency I was used to. I have the model with the timer switch; we'll see how that holds up, though it seems solidly made. The Super Jolly is big and heavy and bulky, but I would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone who has a space for it and who wants a good simple reliable grinder. (Posted on 9/1/2013)
