This delicious natural from Onyx offers big fruit notes with just enough of a floral kick to make it one of the most interesting coffees in recent memory. With notes of strawberry puree, simple syrup, and violet, this is a roast with big modern flavors. Sourced from the Sabanilla de Alajuela region, this coffee was produced by Francisca and Oscar Chacon. With lots of experience experimenting with varietals and techniques, this producer always offers something unique. This roast is no exception. Try it as a pour over today!

Recommended Brew Methods
We recommend a 16:1 water to coffee ratio for your dosing. Use a scale for best results! For pour over, use a medium-coarse grind size somewhere between drip and press levels. Start with a short pour to wet the grounds and “bloom” the coffee for 30 seconds, followed by two more pours, divided in half to reach the appropriate remaining ratio of water to coffee.

Start with a 16:1 water-to-coffee ratio for your dosing. You’ll want a medium grind size for drip brewing that’s finer than what you’d use for pourover. Make sure you give the filter basket a shake to evenly distribute the grounds in the filter for best results. Turn on your brewer and it’ll do the rest!

About The Roaster
Roasted Fresh in Rogers, Arkansas
Jon and Andrea Allen started Onyx Coffee Lab with a dream of serving black coffee that captured flavors of chocolate, cream, and sugar. The kind of coffee that even the newest drinker could enjoy without adding anything to the cup. That dream developed into Onyx Coffee Lab in 2012. With multiple locations around the state, Onyx offers a family oriented approach to roasting and brewing coffee that emphasizes quality and flavor.
