These gorgeous porcelain espresso cups are perfectly at home sitting on the top of your Rocket espresso machine. Each order comes in sets of two with saucers included. Made exclusively by Rocket Espresso!
These cups can hold a maximum of 2.5 fluid ounces, which is at the very top of the cup. Filling to maximum capacity may result in espresso spillage.
Best Answer:It is the right size for a 30-35 milliliter single espresso shot (1.2 ounces). It will hold a double shot, that nearly fills it up, so I would guess the full capacity is 70 milliliters (2.3 ounces). I use mine every morning for a 30-40 milliliter single shot con panna or with a bit of foam and steamed milk - perfect size and very nice cups.
They are small tulip-shaped cups. I weigh my shots (grams), and these cups nicely hold a 30-35 g double (1-1.5 oz). In terms of actual capacity, they hold about 60 g (2 oz) of water, but I don't think you could actually pull a 2 oz double b/c of the volume created by the crema. I'd say 1.5 oz shots is probably the max. Hope this helps...
Best Answer:Yes, these cups are made in Italy by IPA. They are high quality with a nice thickness to them to keep your espresso warm. I'm very happy with them and find them for more aesthetically pleasing to the eye than any other espresso cups I've seen on the market. I find Rocket does not make any sacrifices when it comes to quality.
Hello and thank you for your question. Yes - the coffee cups indicate made in Italy on the bottom and we're deffinetly content with the style and craftsmenship of the product. I don't think you'll be disappointed, we say YES to the cups.
It's a bit hard to read on the bottom of the cup but it appears so, as far as I can tell. They're heavier porcelain than I though they would be but I really like and use them nearly everyday. Durable. Stay warmer longer than other cups.
The markings on the bottom of the cups seem to indicate that they were made in Italy. These raised markings are somewhat difficult to clearly discern, however. In any event, they do make a nice addition to my Rocket Espresso machine.
Simple way to improve your espressoReview by AnadiSD
The design and quality of the cup and saucer make drinking espresso even more of a delight. The cups are substantial and hold the heat. The foot of the cup fits in the saucer well nicely, so the cup stays put when leaning on the counter, savoring a drink. Surfaces are smooth and uniform. One complaint is that the circle R logo is not centered on either plate: by design or just carelessness? (Posted on 2/21/2015)
High Quality, Italian MadeReview by Giuseppe
A Rocket Espresso machine is on my wish list, but until then, these espresso cups will have to hold me over with my current machine. These are definitely high quality, constructed with a thick wall thickness. The saucers are very chic with the "R" Rocket emblem on the center. The cups say "Rocket Espresso Milano" on the side. The price is very reasonable also. (Posted on 11/8/2014)
