I read that coffee beans should be stored in dark cool places, so while showing off the coffee beans in this glass jar would be great, wouldn't that take away from the taste as the beans would continually be exposed to light?
Best Answer:Yes, it is true that unfortunately the clear glass of these RSVP canisters does allow light exposure to your beans. For this reason we like them for storing beans in a cabinet or elsewhere out of light, or for storing other essentials that aren't harmed by light exposure.
i am confused with the description of the width being 5" and the depth of 3.25" with the height of 8.25". My confusion is with the depth, how do you have a depth of a cylinder and a width?….unless its not a cylinder.

Best Answer:Well, while the containers are certainly round, there is a hinge on the back and the locking mechanism on the front, and this adds to the overall dimension in one direction. We've listed the overall width as the larger dimension, as the incorporation of the hinge, etc. may not allow it to fit in the area you might need it to. Hope this helps!
