Features and Functionality of the Saeco Xsmall Superautomatic Espresso Machine - Certified Refurbished

  • Easy Clean Brew Group: The Xsmall allows you to remove, rinse, and re-insert the brew group, keeping your superautomatic performing at its best.
  • Burr Grinder: This adjustable ceramic burr grinder helps to preserve aroma without overheating.
  • Environmentally Friendly: This machine automatically begins stand-by mode after one hour, conserving energy for the next brew.
  • Take Control: Two programmable buttons allow you to set your preferred water volume.
  • Intuitive Cleaning: The Xsmall automatically rinses the coffee circuit before and after stand-by mode.
  • Keeping it Small - As one of the smallest refurbished superautos available, the Xsmall packs a lot of functionality into a petite size.

  • Oily Beans Not Recommended - As is the case with most superautomatics, we do not recommend using oily beans with this built-in grinder.

Saeco Xsmall Superautomatic Espresso Machine - Certified Refurbished
Saeco Vienna Plus Superautomatic Espresso Machine
Saeco Vienna Plus Superautomatic Espresso Machine
Best Answer: It really depends on how you would like to use the machine/the features that the machines have. The Vienna Plus has the capacity to change the dosing from mild to strong (appropriate dosing for a single shot), but you cannot program any buttons to produce the same volume of coffee every time, instead it has a dial that you can adjust the volume of water from 1/2 oz. to 8 oz. The Xsmall, by comparison, has two buttons that you can program to be whatever volume of coffee you'd like, from 1/2 oz. to 8 oz., but you cannot change the dosing, so it is consistently producing 8.5 grams of coffee, comparable to the middle setting on the Vienna. It will also have a smaller water tank, but be a more compact size than the Vienna.

Minchul K on May 8, 2015
Best Answer: We can't give specifics on each refurbished machine. Most look like new, but there is a possibility of some scratches since it is a used machine.

can it work with 240 volt?
A shopper on Jan 7, 2015
Best Answer: No, unfortunately, this machine only operates on 110 voltage, and it is not convertible. Using it on an improper voltage or outlet could void your warranty, as if too much electricity or voltage passes into the machine, it can overload some of the wiring or circuitry, causing the machine to fail or potentially, create a fire hazard. Sorry!

andrea c on Oct 30, 2014
Best Answer: The Saeco Xsmall is a home machine, and so it is only designed for normal at home use, which is generally a maximum of about 5-10 shots a day.

Great machine Review by Coffeeismygame
I bought this machine from here a year and half ago! It's still making my cappuccinos least 6 shots a day. I figured if it last 1 or 2 months ,I still would have come out ahead from what I was spending at Starbucks ! (Posted on 6/25/2015)
Cant be better than thisReview by Andy
Coffee is great
Easy to use and clean
You can program the amount of water
Great price
Size is small
Its just great coffee machine. (Posted on 2/20/2015)
easy & consistentReview by kjk
I found it made consistently good espresso. I didn't like not having a choice of long coffee volume or size of mug to fit under the spout. Make sure all your coffees are made before frothing milk because there's about a 2 - 3 minute wait for the temp. to return to brewing. (Posted on 2/12/2015)
Awesome machine - Awesome companyReview by JTD
Machine arrived looking brand new. When we went through set up, discovered the water tank had a small crack and was leaking. Called customer service- very friendly and helpful and took care of my problem immediately! Received a replacement water tank in just 2 days!!! Machine is very simple to use (we have NO previous experience) and the video reviews are extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend buying refurbished again and Seattle Coffee Gear is the BEST! Couldn't be happier!! (Posted on 1/17/2015)

Good product. This product has arrived wrapped the whole shock-resistant foam. Refurbished, but the status of the product was almost new. (Posted on 12/29/2014)
Fast and EasyReview by Anna
This machine is like, stupidly easy to use. It is my first espresso machine; I had occasionally used my mom's big fancy Gaggia machine but was always a bit wary of all the complex mechanics and cleaning procedures. The Saeco Xsmall has been super easy to use ever since I got it out of the box. Just a couple button pushes and i've got a great cup of espresso. And the milk steamer is awesome - it makes the milk super frothy. And despite the water tank being pretty small, it's not a pain to re-fill. You can just pull it out, stick it under the sink faucet to fill really quick, and stick it back in and the machine carries on. All the parts are very easy to pull out and clean. I'm definitely in love with this machine! (Posted on 12/3/2014)
Spoiled me..... rotten! Review by Chris
I would visit a friend regularly that has a Saeco Incanto for my annual vacation and loved his machine. I was saddened when I realized my budget would not allow me the luxury of such a machine and for two years I made my espresso with generic manual machines. Then based upon recommendations of my friend whom had his machine serviced at SCG he showed me the refurbished outlet store and the model Xsmall that was well inside my budget for a replacement machine. SCG got me this machine fast and in the week I have had it now, I am on the verge of a caffeine overdose. The Xsmall was really easy to set up, and you cannot even tell its a refurbished model. Its fast, and the push button double shot and fully automatic operation is a dream. Saves me a ton of time in the morning, less mess, and more consistent day to day shots and taste. The compact size fits in my small kitchen without feeling like I have lost a bunch of space. I would trade my dishwasher for this any day. This is my first automatic machine and I am loving every bit of it. Thanks to SCG for making a premium and quality machine affordable for the less fortunate caffeine addicts that work lower paying jobs! I wont miss the coffee house debits on my monthly statements. Great Expresso Machine!Review by CA62
I bought this Xmall after 3 months of thinking about it. My Syntia Expresso machine was at the service center in California and some one forgot about it. So, I ordered this machine but I receive my Syntia the same day. I ordered this one, I decided not to cancel and received it on the 5th day in the morning. I opened it and used it for a week.
It is a great expresso machine. My 2 boys are taking it to college with them. The Xmall is the same size than the Syntia but plastic. Seattle
Coffee Gear is a place were, I will purchase anything related to coffee or Tee. I have enjoyed the video reviews they have in their web site, they are fun, very informative and well done. I feel , I know them already. They are striving to be the best in the business, and I feel they are!! (Posted on 7/14/2014)
Is a great machine makes excellent coffee easy to use the only drawback is that it needs to refill with water very often and there is no button to advise you water is low (Posted on 6/24/2014)
FantasticReview by Ozz
