Great first book for the budding baristaReview by Hal

Great book as the first book that a budding barista should buy. The material is a compendium of material that can be found in a multiple number of places in one place. It is also void of jargon and explains some of the detail mentioned elsewhere in non jargon language.

Although most of the material in this book is available elsewhere, this book goes deeper into the meaning of some of the techicaleze common in the world of coffee. I also found it to be an entertaining read. It has cogent definitions/explanations of the various espresso drinks as well as recipes for some drinks containing brewed coffee and espresso pulled coffee.

Good value for the money. Googling Stephenson turns up an interesting CV. It seems he is well respected in the UK as a mixologist/consultant in the food industry. I personally had never heard of him but I took a chance on the book and I'm rather happy I did. (Posted on 8/23/2015)
