Easy to use. Put into the grinder as you would with coffee beans and grind. Remove any residue dust and then run some coffee beans and then discard before you start to brew fresh coffee. Secret to great coffee is a clean grinder and a clean coffee maker and fresh beans.

I put my burr grinder to rest over 10 years ago because it was too hard to keep clean. I was told to use RICE, what a mess! So when I say Gail demonstrating this GRINDZ product, I thought "why not try it".
Well the outcome was more then I could have imagined. I no longer have the folks where I buy my beans grind them for me, but I do it myself every morning just as I am brewing my latte. What a difference in taste! Love this product, Thanks to Gail and her team! Bravo

My grinder paddles broke in less than a year so I was talking to the factory at Baratza about using rice to clean the grinder. They discouraged rice and said no brown rice. Finally they said Grindz is their only recommendation, but rice didn't void the warranty. Rice is cheaper, but Grindz seems much easier overall. Compared to the cost of coffee, what does cost of Grindz matter?

Grindz is great cleaning product. I have started using this product about once a week to clean out the stale coffee flavor in the grinder. My only gripe about the product are the lousy instructions on the label. Looking online helped me figure out what I needed to do.

Basically, here are the steps: Place one cap-full of the Grindz pellets into your grinder. Change your grinder setting to somewhere in the middle range (which is about 20 on my Baratza grinder) and grind the pellets until they are completely ground. Throw out the ground up Grindz grounds and place one cap-full of coffee beans in the grinder to clean away any remaining Grindz residue. After that, clean out your Grinder catchbox so you don't leave any Grindz residue in there. Readjust your grinder to your desired setting and that's it ... Your Done!
