It's October 1st, which means it's officially spooky season! Enjoy this delicious and timely Halloween cocktail with your scary movies and fall colors. Candied Apple Hot Apple Cider Recipe: Ingredients: 6oz apple cider 1oz hot cinnamon syrup Stir Top with whipped cream Red Hots to garnish Hot Cinnamon Syrup Recipe: 1 package Cinnamon Imperials or Red Hots 2 Tbsp granulated sugar Water Red food coloring (optional) In a small pot, combine cinnamon candy and sugar. Add just enough water to cover the candy and bring it to medium heat. Stir continuously until the candy and sugar dissolve. Remove from heat, and add 1-2 drops of red food coloring if desired. Let cool and store in a mason jar or other airtight container for up to 1 week. Steam apple cider in a frothing pitcher until hot to the touch. In an Irish coffee glass, or clear mug, add the hot cinnamon syrup. Pour hot cider over syrup, stir until combined, leaving about an inch of room. Top with sweetened whipped cream and a drizzle of syrup for garnish. If you do not have an espresso machine, you can microwave the cider in a microwave-safe container, then follow the rest of the instructions. Add a shot of sugar espresso to really take this one over the top!
