Introducing Upper Left Coffee Roasters!

Today we’re thrilled to introduce you to our newest roasting partner: Upper Left Roasters! Upper Left is a newer coffee roaster, first getting started in 2015. They are located in Portland’s Ladd’s Addition, where they work hard to foster community and bring great coffee to the neighborhood. With delicious coffee fit for all kinds of brew levels and tastes we’re excited to bring them to you! Let’s take a look at the different Upper Left coffee roasts we’re carrying:

Espresso Blend

Upper Left’s Espresso Blend is a simple, but satisfying blend perfect for dialing in your new espresso machine and pairing with some steamed milk. This roast can also stand on its own as a great shot, featuring sweet and syrupy flavors that are delicate enough to please fans of lighter roasts. Currently comprised of Central and South American coffee beans, we’re sure you’ll love this one as much as we do.

Drip Blend

For their Drip Blend, Upper Left uses East African and South American beans to craft the perfect roast for your drip coffee maker or other slow brew method. With great balanced flavors this is a really good choice for a Chemex pour over or press as well!

Breakfast Blend Notes of brown sugar, dried fruit, and chocolate make this blend a delicious way to wake up in the morning. Great in a variety of brew methods, this is a coffee that will please a wide range of palates, making it a solid choice for sharing with family and friends. Abyssinian A celebration of Ethiopian coffees, this mix of coffees from coffee’s birthplace offers notes of cherry candy, strawberry, and blood orange. Don’t worry though, this one isn’t a total sweet overload. You’ll still get plenty of classic coffee flavors, making this one a fantastic fit for a V60 or other pour over dripper. Andino

This all Peruvian blend of coffees features notes of sweet chocolate, hazelnut, and plum. We love how well this coffee works in drip coffee makers and presses, something we don’t often get to say about coffees from a specific region. This full flavored roast also maintains the impressive balance that all of Upper Left’s coffees manage, making it an easy drinker on top of all of that deliciousness.

We know your tastebuds will jump for joy when they sample Upper Left Roasters’ coffee, so don’t wait, grab a bag today!
