How to use and maintain the De'Longhi EMK6 electric moka pot coffee maker:


Key Features:
- Electric moka pot that makes authentic Italian-style moka coffee
- No need to use on stovetop, just plug in and turn on
- Makes full or half pot of coffee
- Keep warm function to maintain temperature after brewing

Set-up:
1. Fill boiler with cold water up to safety valve for full pot or circular mark for half pot
2. Insert filter basket into boiler
3. Fill filter basket with ground coffee (do not tamp down)
4. Screw on top part securely
5. Place on electric base and close lid
6. Press on/off switch to start brewing

Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Allow to cool before cleaning
- Periodically clean inside the center post
- Check filter screen and gasket for wear, replace if needed
- Occasionally check filter screen holes are not blocked, clean with pin if needed
- Do not wash in dishwasher
- Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners, just wipe with sponge
- Always make sure filter screen is positioned correctly after cleaning to avoid leaks

Troubleshooting:
- If no coffee comes out, check that there is water in the boiler
- If coffee takes a long time, make sure using correct grind size and coffee is not tamped
- If coffee leaks from edges, check filter screen and gasket for blockage or damage
