Let fine Italian craftsmanship take your breath away! The Rocket Espresso Mozzafiato Evoluzione R sports a contemporary take on the classic E61 design—with the updated specs to back it up! The type R starts with Rocket's tried-and-true 1.8-liter heat-exchange boiler and adds a commercial-caliber rotary pump that opens up multiple water options, while an integrated PID controller hidden behind the drip tray gives you minute control over steam temperature. This home espresso setup signs off with an ultra-clean stainless steel case—complete with integrated cup rails and tapered, adjustable feet.

Features and Functionality

  • Craftsmanship - Assembled by hand in Italy, each Rocket machine is a unique piece of espresso artwork.
  • PID Controller - More accurate than a mechanical pressure switch, this integrated PID gives you easy control over your machine's temperature changes.
  • Rotary Pump - Overbuilt to say the least, this cafe-level pump offers quicker pressure ramp and quieter operation than vibratory pumps, alongside the option to plumb.
  • Heat-exchange Boiler - A 1.8-liter insulated copper/brass boiler lets you brew and steam at the same time.
  • Stainless Case - Lightly brushed, the stainless panels on the Mozzafiato offer a premium look for your kitchen.
  • Integrated Cup Rail - The Mozzafiato's cup rail is a single piece flowing up from its side panels, offering clean, uninterrupted lines.
  • Two Year Warranty - We're proud to offer two years of parts and labor support for every Rocket machine purchase.
  • Rotary Pump - The soft sounds of a rotary pump-driven machine is well known to those who've worked in a coffeeshop. The option to plumb your machine is a nice touch too!
  • PID Controller - A nice option for those looking to adjust temperature for different roast profiles and blends.
  • One-Piece - The new case-integrated cup rail is a satisfyingly clean-cut design boon over the plastic rails of its predecessor, the Cellini.
  • Hot Water Wand - The articulated hot water wand pulls directly from the steam boiler, which means ultra-hot water right in your cup.
  • Cup Rails - Better lines aside, the Mozzafiato's cup rail cannot be removed. Make sure to measure your cabinets!
SCG Staff Says... Mozzafiato means 'breathtaking' in Italian!
How Does it Compare? The Mozzafiato replaces Rocket's Cellini line of machines. A spiritual successor to the Cellini Evo, the Mozzafiato features a new PID, one-piece side panels with integrated cup rails and new feet.
Tips and Tricks If you're looking for a bigger reservoir but don't have access to a water line at your brew station, a Flojet pump lets you plumb your machine to a larger water source, like a water cooler jug.

Can the power switch be left in the "on" position to allow the machine to be turned on by a timer?
Nickname on May 6, 2017
Best Answer: You can also use a smart wifi outlet (TP-Link or Wemo). That way you can program a schedule or even turn it on remotely (i.e. before you drive home from work or your bed) using an app on your phone.

I want to change my espresso machine. I have a Oscar of Simonelli, first generation. This machine, is it better than my Oscar? Is it and upgrade, if l want the better coffee (shot) I have a Eureka Mignon grinder. Thanks you Gale
John M on Oct 20, 2017
Best Answer: Hello!

The Evo R will certainly be a step up from the original Oscar. You get a rotary pump, PID temp control, and a more temp-stable heat exchange design. Your Mignon is also a great grinder choice for it.

Hope this helps!

Pricey but high qualityReview by Mr B
I bought this machine about two months ago and love it. Works as advertised. Hand made in Italy with quality materials. Expensive, but you get what you pay for. (Posted on 9/11/2017)
Fantastic machineReview by CT espresso junky
I have had the Mozzafiato for about three months and really love it. I paired it with a Eureka Mignon grinder and have been able to produce some great shots. The beans obviously make a difference, as well, but SCG has a great selection and recommendations on that front. Like anything else in life, in order to achieve perfection you have to be willing to experiment. This machine allows you to really pull a good shot once you have dialed-in all the variables.
