Description About Tony's Coffee - Snow Joe
Full of cocoa and spice and everything nice, this Wintery treat will warm your belly and put a smile on your face! Snow Joe from Tony's is a classic blend for the season or snow and frost. We really don't think there's a better Winter tradition than a cup of something hot after an afternoon in the snow, and Snow Joe is the perfect roast for that! Delicious in a variety of brew methods, but because of the balance and medium body here, we think you'll like it best as a good old fashioned drip brew.

Recommended Brew Methods
A 2:1 water-to-coffee ratio for your espresso shot is recommended. Using a scale to dial in your shots makes the process faster and more accurate. Your espresso grind should be very fine and powdery. Shots should take 30-40 seconds to brew and be thick and syrupy. Don’t stress, adjustments are always needed to get your shots pulling just right!

We recommend a 16:1 water to coffee ratio for your dosing. Use a scale for best results! For pour over, use a medium-coarse grind size somewhere between drip and press levels. Start with a short pour to wet the grounds and “bloom” the coffee for 30 seconds, followed by two more pours, divided in half to reach the appropriate remaining ratio of water to coffee.

Start with a 16:1 water-to-coffee ratio for your dosing. You’ll want a medium grind size for drip brewing that’s finer than what you’d use for pourover. Make sure you give the filter basket a shake to evenly distribute the grounds in the filter for best results. Turn on your brewer and it’ll do the rest!

Superautos make brewing espresso easy. All you need to do is add beans to the hopper and press a button to pull yourself a shot. If your shot is a bit sour you’ll want to dial the grinder a little bit finer and try again. If it’s bitter, dial it a little coarser. You can find instructions on how to do this for your machine in the manual. Just remember to avoid oily beans that can clog your superauto’s grinder!
