Cleaning your espresso machine frequently is essential for flawless performance each and every time. The Urnex Liquid Dezcal descaler is formulated to descale your home espresso machine efficiently and effectively. The process will be quicker as you no longer will have to dissolve the powder solution for the most results. Even when using filtered water in your espresso machine or coffee maker, mineral deposits can slowly build up in the hot water tank or boiler and other internal components. The result? Poor performance due to clogged water tubes, reduced brew temperature and extended brew time.
Best Answer:It will depend upon the recommended amount required by your machine manufacturer , but in general you mix a 10% solution in water , my machine requires 500 ml so I mix 50ml in one use. That about 2 oz , so you should get 16 uses. Which are a lot comparing to those expansive packets they sell.
not sure as I've only used it once, but did decipher the directions and it's used @ 1:10 mix with water, so I'm guessing 10+ uses as I didn't have to use all that much to fill 1/10 of my water reservoir on my Saeco Synthis.
It recommends a 1:10 ratio of the Dezcal:Water, so the size of your boiler and how much water you would like to use will determine how many uses. FWIW, I use 32oz of water every time I descale, so I will get ~10 uses.
I do not actually know the answer, but can say that the number of uses will almost certainly be the number of cap-fulls in the container, barring spillage. I use one cap-ful in 45 oz of water (maximum for my Technivorm).
how many fluid oz does i pack make? The box indicates 4, 1 oz packs of powder. You also sell the 32 oz liquid, is it concentrated or use as is?

Urnex Liquid Dezcal - 32 oz.
Dezcal Coffee/Espresso Machine Descaler
Best Answer:Each 1 oz pack should be diluted in a full tank of water. The 32 oz bottle is not fully concentrated, you would dilute 8oz of the liquid with the full tank of water. Please follow your machine's instructions for descaling.
My Via Venezia stopped working properly the same time my grinder stopped working like it should. So I ordered some Dezcal liquid with my new grinder. I like that no mixing is required. Measure 1 part Dezcal for 10 parts water. Cycle the mixture through the machine as instructed and two tanks of water to rinse. Now my Via Venezia works like a brand new machine. (Posted on 3/13/2013)
